If you know a truth, should you tell it????

Even if telling the truth means that you might harm yourself or other people in the process?????

If you believe in something strongly then telling the truth will only make life easier. You will have a load of..If another person is involved then you should approach the problem rationally and take into account other person's point of view and respect it if you really care about the person.

I think if you know the truth about something, you first really need to pray about the situation, and what exactly is involved. Then if you really thing that its a dangerous situation, I really think that you do need to tell the truth, in love, even if it might mean hurting you or other people in the process. Not telling will hurt more in the long run, and the truth, though painful, always always brings a fruitful end, even though we may not see it right away.

Yes, the truth might be painful to tell but the truth has to be told. Even if it should kill you. Yet, we fail sometimes at that. But still is important to tell the truth, and not a lie. (But that is Biblical truth...other truths it may be better to keep silence about.)

As knowbible (shouldn't it be Knowsthebilble?) quoted, and is most differently right. That no harm will befall are spirit according to the Bible. That even if we die we will live with Christ! WHich is better then where an unbeliever is going...

Depends. I think it's on a need-to-know basis. For instance, should you hunt down and find an old boyfriend that you broke up with 5 years ago just to tell him that he has bad breath? No, of course not, no matter how true it is lol. That would just hurt his feelings.

Sometimes things are left better unsaid. Sometimes the truth must come out. Ask God, He knows exactly what to do.

I strongly recommend telling the truth-if holding your tongue no longer works. Because, if you lie, you'll have to keep telling lie after lie to cover your first story. Plus, the person you're trying to fool will find out what's going on, one way or another.

It depends what it is? If it's going to protect people from harm; you should because maybe down the road it will harm them. Like my friend says sometimes to me: sometimes it's good to say something; while other times you should be quiet and not say nothing. Sometimes you say something to people, it backfires and sometimes it don't.
I really think it depends on the individual--if they should or not.

honesty is always the best policy. even if it might hurt someone now. the pain is greater if they find out later because they will know that you knew and didn't tell them. if you tell the truth up front they won't feel betrayed.

I think you should. Like a girl who was surrounded by idiots in a grocery store and they asked her, "Are you a Christian?" And she said "Yes." (Not to be confused with the Collumbine shootings) That truth did more than hurt her......it killed her. But she went to Heaven.
