I am a Christian and I'm also a human. There are some people I'm still struggling to love. It takes a total surrender to God for that. For example, there is a man who molested me as a child and it took YEARS to come to the place where I can say I've forgiven him for what he's done. I fervently pray that he accepts Christ as his savior. I believe he hasn't thus far because he's afraid he'll have to confess to what he did to me and others. He was even convicted (plead guilty) and was sent to prison for 2 years, but he maintains his innocence and said his attorney told him to plead guilty because it was a he said/she said case he couldn't win. I still see this man at a lot of family gatherings. The balance I've come to is that I am kind to this man, but I'll NEVER let him even pick up my child. Luckily, I've never had to say that out loud because he's got the good sense not to try. Sorry to be so long-winded, but I wanted you to see that there are some Christians who are really TRYING to live out the example that God set for us to follow. It truly is a narrow path and it's difficult to stay on sometimes.

There is a simple answer for your question. Human nature. It is how people operate. That is how we deal with certain situations. Just because you become Christian does not mean you are going to everything right. It's not possible. Become Christian and you'll see that you have a lot of the same issues that are worked on over time. Nothing in life happens over night. The only thing that heals is time. Even for Christians.

Love does not = naivete
Many Christians do love terrorists, murderers, rapists, etc. and Christ loves all of them, but loving them does not mean letting them get away with their crimes. The general public has to be kept safe from people who commit violent crimes. That may mean locking them up, making them register and/or wear tracking bracelets, or executing them.
Christians have actually set up several programs to help inmates and former inmates. Many churches have prison ministries in which people visit inmates and make friends with them. There are also programs in which inmates can request that presents be purchased and sent to their children (in the prisoner's name) for Christmas and birthdays. Unfortunately, many prisons and some states have banned such programs in the name of "separation of church and state". Many halfway houses for ex-cons were started by and/or are currently run and funded by Christians.

God loves their soul and promises repentance to them merely as He does actually everyone. have you ever hated all people? The Bible says you've committed homicide. a million John 3:15 actually everyone who hates his brother is a assassin, and also you understand that no assassin has eternal existence abiding in him. have you ever appeared on the different sex with lustful desire? The Bible says you're an Adulterer or a similar as a rapist? Matthew 5:28 yet I say to you that truly everyone who seems at a lady with lustful motive has already committed adultery which includes her in his heart. have you ever taken an prolonged damage at paintings than you're meant to? you're stealing. we are no better appropriate off than those, because what concerns to God is what's in the middle and our heart is merely as corrupt we merely have not taken the sin nature to it really is severe.

I DO love them, just can't accept what they do.
Would you honestly invite a rapist into your house if the person hasn't changed their ways?
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Acts 8:22
Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
Acts 17:30
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
You would need to use wisdom, discernment and the Holy Spirit.

A ture Christian would have love for all these types... I guess I'm not though becasue I have no love for them. In Christian reality, you are supposed to forgive those that have sinned, no matter how bad the sin. I can't live by this though... There are some things that can not be forgotten such as losing a loved one, henious crimes such as rape and the killing of innocent people.

Simple answer is that we are not perfect. The other thing is that most people only call themselves christians but don't act like it.
It is not easy to love an enemy, but Jesus died for us while we were enemies. And he said that the greatest love that we can have is to die for a friend.
When we become more like Jesus, loving others becomes easier.

We should hate the sin and love the sinner. But its easy to want to hate somebody for what they did to you or a family member. Most times, its just peoples emotions getting in the way. But people do need to be punished for crimes. Even God will punish them if they don't change. And I don't think Christians hate those people, but them feel a sense of hostility towards them. Thats why it seems they hate them.

Who said that true Christians don't love everyone?! Sadly, you are making a false assumption. I happen to love everyone and I'm also happy to say that I'm a Christian. I have to love everyone, and forgive them too. But it doesn't mean that I have to like what everyone does. I may love them as my brothers and sisters, but I would still do everything in my power to stop them harming other innocent people, whom I also happen to love. No conflict. It's simple.
