i'm not a Ford Tech yet i'm a FSR for Strykers, really i'm a pro mechanic. I also own a three.7l F150 2wd mine is prolonged cab not 4 door. I stay in El Paso that's 4000 ft up and this concerns. i'm not positive of your elevation yet my Jetta TDI lost 5 mpg from seattle to the following and my crown Vic did besides. My F150 has averaged 16mpg on the city for plenty of the time I have owned it. I have owned it merely in El Paso so I assume it may get extra at decrease elevation. I took it on a six hundred mile vacation and that i have been given 22 mpg with it complete of individuals and tenting equipment. i grow to be inspired on condition that at decrease elevation this may enhance. I had a mattress conceal on the vacation too. I put in a ok&N air filter out merely 3 days in the past and performance monitored my MPG and that i'm now averaging 18.5 on the city. 2.5 extra effectual than i grow to be getting. i'm pondering reducing the truck some inches to help with gas mileage yet I have not yet. I do have FX wheels and tires on mine rather of the inventory tires. those are wider than my inventory ones were.

It all depends on what your driving styles are like. Do you speed? Do you quickly accelerate? How often do you change the air filter?
