My boyfriend was diagnosed with brain tumor 2-3 years ago. He stops taking any medicine and treatment after he thinks he has okay. But, for the past few months, his head feel sick again. It’s just like before, when he was sick. Now, he did not take any medicine because if he did, he easily forgetting many things. Nobody knows about this even his family and friends except me. He told me that he doesn’t want others worried about him. But, I’m worried if something happens to him, people will think it's just a normal pain.i'm 20 and he is only 21

Honey, as much as you want to protect him, you need to TELL HIS MOTHER. Of course he doesn't want anyone worried about him, but they should be. They love him. If he won't take his medicine then something's wrong. If things are getting worse, his family should know in time. Bless you both.

This is the classic you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. All you can do is be supportive and suggest he take his medication. If his doctor can't convince him with medical expertise, you don't have a prayer. Now here's some food for thought. Certain medications cause side effects which the patient can't accept (like forgetfulness). From my experience with relations struggling with chronic conditions, the cure is sometimes worse than the disease. Your boyfriend may have consciously chosen the pain rather than the fog of forgetfulness. It's painful to witness, but it's ultimately his choice. All you can do is ensure he has the knowledge to make the right decision and then be there for him. That's not what you want to hear, but it's the reality of your situation.

Geez! What an unfair responsiblity he has burdened you with. Tell him you expect him to take his meds. If he doesn't you have two choices: present him with an ultimatum and a consequence that you WILL enforce or you can let him suffer. You cannot make him take his meds no matter how much you might like to do so.

i think of you're able to in all likelihood tell his mom and father. i be attentive to it particularly is a threat and going against his request is greater often than not no longer a solid situation. yet his existence and wellness is greater significant than that. perhaps they are going to be attentive to the thank you to cajole him and perhaps as quickly as they be attentive to he gets as much as how intense it is. I as quickly as labored in a bar the place there became this guy who continually got here in together with his spouse and each each now and then his (grownup) babies. He used became particularly basically 0.5-there and his spouse had had to alter into like a mom to him. the reason became that he had had a innovations tumour and had refused therapy. It became particularly unhappy and made a great effect on me. i do no longer choose to upset you unnecessarily yet I purely choose to electrify upon you the way significant it is that he gets therapy.

if you have to make him take the drug and stand there while he does it, it's just something you have to do if he's not taking it on his own become his own prison guard if you have to. a brain tumor is a serious matter which sudden be taking lightly and your boyfriend needs to understand that his life could be cut short if he doesn't do anything about it.

Never, I mean NEVER force, persuade or convince a person's medication on them. There's only one person living inside of their head and to them the pain might be better than the side effects.

When you guys go out to eat, hide his medicine in his meal. That way he won't know that he is taking it.

I'd say talk to his doctors for sure, and also at least let his immediate family know.
