These two common cancers share many of the same risk factors. Alcohol, folate deficiency, low vitamin and mineral intake, low vitamin D levels and many other risk factors 'co-exist' for these and several other cancers.

I was told there was a link, along with ovarian cancer too, but maybe I was misinformed. If that is the case, I had a colonoscopy for nothing at 29 years old. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at 29, and have lost a grandma to colon cancer. Now I am curious too....

No one has yet established a link between the two. In both cases, it is important to catch them early. That means watching for the warning signs -- self checking for breast cancer and checking your stool for streaks of blood.
I've had colon cancer -- believe me, if you catch it early, they can get it out cleanly. So make a habit of doing regular stool checks.
