I believe that no religion is true if the believers have to be radical and stupid. By radical I mean that going and killing people and invading entire countries just to get some more followers is unholy and godless. One more thing if you look close enough in the original Quran it demands the death of Christians and Jews. Finally, don't try to argue with me, because my true Religion and way of life called Christianity prohibits arguing religion so this is as far as I will go.

Try reading the Koran... every other page in that book talks about how infidels/ sinners/ blasphemers should be killed. The Prophet was especially fond of stoning, although he had some choice suggestions for women (who are pretty much extensions of their man). He also likes beheading.

Reading the Koran gave me a chilling insight to the devout Muslim's mind. Any Muslim who is not going about killing people is a bad Muslim, as far as the Koran goes. Creepy stuff, I recommend that everyone read it... but not to children or anyone else easily traumatized.

If Islam demands the death of Jews and Christians, why have christians been protected in Islamic lands for over 1400 years(with a few exceptions)?

Why did the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) make a treaty with the Jews that made them almost equal members under the state?

Why does the Qur'an give the Jews and Christians the option of paying a tax for protection(jizyah) if its as how you say?

"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbade, nor follow the religion of Truth(Islam) from those who follow the scripture(Jews and Christians) until they pay jizyah, and they are subdued" [Surah At-Tawbah]

As for Christianity, I recommend you look into the Old Testament that you claimt o believe in, which demands the death of anyone who worships false gods, and also commands prophets to slay women and children, all in God's Name.

"Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple." So they began by killing the seventy leaders. "Defile the Temple!" the LORD commanded. "Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!" So they went throughout the city and did as they were told." (Ezekiel 9:5-7 NLT)

This isnt even a matter of argument. The situation is clear as daylight. If you truly believe the Bible, both old and new testaments are the uncorrupted word of God, youre going to have to accept some things that would completely change your outlook on God.

You are close minded so how can you get the truth? Ask your self why people like Yvonne Ridley and Yusuf Estes (search the web if you are interested in their stories) both of them were educated Christians found the truth else where? The answer is simple; they searched for the truth and found it. I know the Quran word for word and there is nothing there ordering to kill Christians but to invite and argue with them only with kindness; otherwise you will not find a single Christian in the Muslim world.

If you follow your way of life that prohibits arguing religion, then you should have stopped where you started.

I ask you the same question: why are so many people ignorant when it comes to "Islam." Begin by asking yourself this question.

Islam does not demand the death of Christian or Jews. Islam promotes a peaceful life both with believers and non-believers. There is no compuslion in Islam.
The only mention of war or killing is in reference to defense of oneself, and one's people. If say non-believers army tried to massacre muslim people, then it is a Muslim's responsibility to defend self and his people by going to war. perfect example: Palestine and Israel. Go Muslims.

Why are you asking if you do not want answers? And what you described about invading and killing to get followers is NOT Islam. Sounds like you are one of the ignorant ones and should open your eyes to the truth and the origins of Christanity. I did, and I converted to Islam. The religion, not the Arabs...

As far as you go isnt enough.... how can someone tell you that you have th e wrong information....

And no, Qur'an doesnt demand death to christians and jews. You certainly have the wrong informaiton.
Unless you put a verse, and all the verses relating to it, than only you will understand.

Its quite common to misinterprete the Quran... very common.

Because Islam never teaches love, only hate. You can tell by the way they act, when someone loves you, knowledge of the Truth will make you free. To Muslims, freedom to always say what's true is punishable by death. This loss of freedom results in ignorance to those who listen to antichrists.

It's an opinion that you might have. But my father has a guy he knows at work who's Muslim and he hasn't killed a person and I'm sure he won't. Some are and some aren't...and I don't want someone to email me and say I'm wrong. Since some guys who say to be Muslim go off and kill people and many don't. It depends on the Muslim...I guess.

This is simple... People listen to other people who know nothing about it. There are so many misconceptions about the Islamic faith. It's become even worse with the new threat of terrorism. Calling them Islamic fundalmentalists or extremists is even incorrect becaue they follow nothing of the Islamic faith. the media makes this even worse. No one these days forms their own opinions on facts or even decides to take the time to investigate, they are too wuick to judge and form opinions on here-say.

No one is arguing, we're simply correcting your incorrect information. In every religion there are radicals, I think you could call our president a radical...after all, he is acting out of his faith and invading another country which, after the fall of saddam hussien, is of no threat to the U.S. I don't know what Quran you're looking closely at, but the true Quran, in no way, commands the death of anyone. Christians, Jews, and Muslims are people of the book- are believers- which is a good thing.

Islam says this about Christians and Jews:

2:62. Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
5:65. If only the People of the Book had believed and been righteous, We should indeed have blotted out their iniquities and admitted them to gardens of bliss.
66. If only they had stood fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every side. There is from among them a party on the right course: but many of them follow a course that is evil.
67. O Messenger. proclaim the (message) which hath been sent to thee from thy Lord. If thou didst not, thou wouldst not have fulfilled and proclaimed His mission. And Allah will defend thee from men (who mean mischief). For Allah guideth not those who reject Faith.

"Does Islam tolerate other beliefs?"

The Quran says: God forbids you not, with regards to those who fight you not for [your] faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them; for God loveth those who are just. (Quran, 60-8)

It is one function of Islamic law to protect the privileged status of minorities, and this is why non-Muslim places of worship have flourished all over the Islamic world. History provides many examples of Muslim tolerance towards other faiths: when the caliph Omar entered Jerusalem in the year 634, Islam granted freedom of worship to all religious communities in the city. Islamic law also permits non-Muslim minorities to set up their own courts, which implement family laws drawn up by the minorities themselves.

Most importantly, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said this about Muslims, Christians, and Jews:
"When the bier of anyone passeth by thee, whether Jew, Christian or Muslim, rise to thy feet."

By the way, what country is Muslims invading...right now...trying to get people to convert? None. The Christians are doing it right now in Iraq.'

Please tell me where it says, in your religion, argument is prohibited because I can easily do so for Islam.
41:35. And no one will be granted such goodness except those who exercise patience and self-restraint,- none but persons of the greatest good fortune.
3:134. Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men;- for Allah loves those who do good;-
25:63. And the servants of ((Allah)) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!";

PEACE!
