are you saying we should send our U.S. military into Sudan?
then the whole world will hate us for that. and 1 innocent person gets killed, and the U.S. army is blamed for that.

why not try and get the chineese army in there. or the russian army in there. or the french army in there.

don't ask for the U.S. to do everything.

HONESTLY. People who probably do care arent in any position to help. Everybody knows the Iraq war is a distraction from REAL issues. Also politicians could care less about going to Africa to stop genocide. Thats a lot of people!! 4 million people?! Maybe you should write a letter to congress or a major news station life fox news aka fox skews they distort we comply. You have free speech get the issue out there! Also people view the U.S as the world police. I agree with Bobby Ewing. Excuse that guy for cursing at you calling you an idiot. Your just trying to state a fact. Sometimes getting involved in other countries affairs is not good thing thats probably why nobody has been over there to stop it. Like I said use your freedom of speech.

It's so unbelievably sad. What really pisses me off about it is that the UN--which was formed after WWII partly to keep things like the Holocaust from ever happening again--will not call this genocide. They say there MAY be ISOLATED acts of genocide, but really no country wants to send in troops and help these poor people, to save their lives. The UN knows that if they call it officially genocide, they will have to go in and act, so they ignore it and act like it is not so bad. The US as a country should step in, SOMEone should try to help these people!

I feel totally helpless to help myself. I can't possibly go to Sudan and rid the country of the killers, or oust the dictator ruling the country. I can't get to refugee camps, I can't go to a village (well, now there realy are none left to go to anyway!).

Does anyone know of a way that ordinary folks can help?

Ok, first off you're a ******* idiot for even bringing this up. Who gives a crap if people in Africa are dying? Why the **** would America care if Americans aren't even dying? The holocaust was an actual problem because the Nazi threat could have attacked American democracy. Don't even compare African problems with WWII that's the dumbest **** ever. They are taking care of their own problems and whenever someone gives them support they **** it up. America needs to take care of their OWN problems right now and forget about those pieces of **** that cause their own crappy situations and destruction.

I CARE and am basically ashamed of those that don't. We wonder why we have a terrible reputation in the world...maybe because of many of our close minded, self absorbed citizens. Thank you for bringing it to the forefront. Please click link and learn what you can do to begin helping and spread the word.

Realistically, no one cares.
To Americans, Africa is still the Dark Continent
-- filled with savages.
Sorry.
