Abstract, physical, however you view him, her, it, them. Please don't include anything religious. (Is that blasphemous?) I am interested (for the time being anyway) only in how people perceive God. Not through Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha or any prophet, just God alone.

HE is THE CREATER,SUSTAINER,MERCIFUL and ALMIGHTY

I perceive God as the ultimate being in existence. He is the Creator of the universe, the Sustainer of everything that is in the Heavens and the Earth. He is a being which controls everything, sees everything, knows everything. He is all-powerful, all-merciful, all-compassionate, and all-forgiving. At the same time, He can inflict the most powerful wrath and humiliation on anything. I can not comprehend His Majesty or His Might for my knowledge does not even compare to His Knowledge. He is Wise and knows what is in our hearts, our souls. He knows us better than we know ourselves. He is closer to us than our own jugular vein. His door is always open for help when in need, while his punishment is to be feared. Every quality that is good -- he is the best of those qualities. He is my Designer, my Guidance, and my Hope. My purpose in this life is to not fall prey to worldy temptations but to strive in pleasing Him by worshipping Him. That is my definition of God.

Well now I figure if there is a god out there he must be vapor and of limited intelligence.I mean think about it , how can god be smart when we are suppose to be his work.Do you really think god would have created a place such as this earth.I would never do anything of the liking. I would create a peaceful place without hatred and for sure no silly religious idiots.

Sorry, can't do it. My God is not generic. He is the one that ensured His Word would be written so I can read it every day and that His Word (Jesus, the Son) would come to this Earth in the flesh to die for my sins. He would be resurrected on the third day and sit at the right hand of the Father and act as my Holy Priest for intercession.

The other Gods don't matter to me.

My view of God, the way you are looking for definition, is that of a Fatherly figure. Protector, comforter, consoling, disciplinary, rescuer. There is always Jesus and Holy Spirit with Father. 3 in 1

How I View God:

One single drop of rain
Your salty tear became a blue ocean
One tiny grain of sand turning in Your hand
A world of motion

You're out beyond the furthest morning star
Close enough to hold me in Your arms
Adonai
I lift up my heart and I cry
My Adonai
You are maker of each moment
Father of my hope and freedom
Oh my Adonai

One timid faithful knock
Resounds upon the rock of ages
One trembling heart and soul
Becomes a servant bold and courageous

You call across the mountains and the seas
I answer from the deepest part of me
My Adonai

From age to age You reign in majesty
And today You're making miracles in me!

My Adonai

(btw, the definition of Adonai : The ineffable name of God

An Extra-Terrestrial, if anything. And mortal.
The Annukai, for example, would define my view of a possible god-like being, similar to how a simple animal could view humans now.

(psst-George B-that's three! lol)

God is an entity existing only in the minds of those who are not equipped (for whatever reason) to deal with the idea of this being the only life we get.

Ghandi said that there is no god higher than truth. It's like saying that no one is above the law.

So.. if even gods are subject to truth, then the overarching god must be truth (assuming you believe in truths).

I agree with Ghandi on that point.
