Hey, I am cooking a boneless skinless chicken breast and there is another one in the package, I was wondering if i can refrigerate instead of freeze it because i will probably be eating it tomorrow (in about 17-18 hours lol)?? Or should I just freeze it?

no, try not to refreeze if at all possible. by letting it thaw, you release moisture inside the meat - when it re-freezes, viola! freezer burn.

it's perfectly safe for at least 24 - 36 hours thawed. store it on the very bottom of the fridge so it doesn't accidentally leak on anything else. and keep it tightly covered. :)

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but if your going to eat it tomorrow are even the net day cook it now with the other. When you get hungry trough it in a pan for a few are just 60 seconds in the old microwave. After soaking in those seasonings for 18 hrs. it may be better then than now. As a rule of Thom never re freeze it destroys the taste of the meat and puts you at a higher risk of the kitchen cooties.

Go ahead and refrigerate the other chicken breast. It'll be just fine. Make sure and wrap it in plastic wrap very well and place it on the bottom shelf of the fridge (in case it drips, it'll not drip onto any other food which might be under it).

Eat a bite for me!

nicely, this variety of stuff is incredibly 2nd fee to feeding a hand-crafted clean weight loss software because of the fact it rather is nevertheless processed to three diploma. in case you think of roughly it - does not it look incorrect that meat does no longer be refrigerated? definite, there is a few thing incorrect with dry food. it rather is biologically irrelevant food for a carnivore that stepped forward eating uncooked meat. Cooking the crap out of meat and coating it with preservatives so it rather is left on a shelf for months, in many approaches, is incredibly plenty some thing incorrect in case you rather look at it objectively.

Yeah that will be fine. Only freeze it if you don't think you'll be eating it tomorrow. Make sure you have it wrapped in plastic wrap though because if it sits in the open air then it probably won't be very good to eat.

make sure you put it in a Ziploc or something. The fridge will be fine if you plan to eat it tomorrow. If not, cook it anyway THEN freeze it.

Sure, you don't have to freeze it since you are using it within 24 hours or so. Beyond 24 hours then, yes you would need to freeze it.

Chicken or any meat can be held in the frige for up to 3 days, If you aren't going to use it by then, freeze it well wrapped to prevent freezer burn.
