They get their jollies bothering people they believe to be weak or foolish. If they stopped to think about how cruel their behavior is... I'm sure they wouldn't slam orphans or cripples. But, I suppose that if people don't believe in God they don't believe that there is any real right or wrong that is independent of Man and to which he is responsible, so they just act as cruelly as possible.
But this strikes me as risky, as well as cruel. What if the a-theists or a-gnostics or a--whatevers succeed? What if they succeed beyond what they hope for? What I mean is this: suppose some Christians say, They're right! All this God stuff is baloney. But I still hate their guts for annoying me. I can find out where they are and whack them.
What if they became violent? Do those who try to provoke them to anger really think they are safe? Or do they think that it will never touch them? Do they think that they will just read about it in the news when some former Christian has gone berserk and done some terrible thing? The way unbelievers talk about Christians sure sounds like they believe them to be mentally unstable. And they are taking the terrible risk of baiting and provoking these people. This doesn't seem sensible or wise.

their not today we live in a world where new ideas are sprouting up left and right, and there's nothing wrong with that, old religons die out and new ones are born( Greek and Roman Mythology die, Christianity was born)the da vinci code doesn't bash cristianity it offers a different perspective on it. Christians actually have it the best, better than atheist, better than muslims, better than jews since they are the majority religon.
The end times as far as I'm concerned is just a paranoid christian fundie ideal, many people consider the bible to be a fable, many condier it a completely true, but it is listed as a fictional book i think, it's just what you believe

I wouldn't get to bummed out with all this end times talk, I don't think that Jesus would want us to worry about things we have no control over. As bad as things seem, there is still alot of good things happening in this world, many people in other countries are accepting Christ that never seen a bible before, I'm assuming you live in America which God has richly blessed, Its like living in the garden of Eden. Great movies like The Passion Of The Christ, and The chronicles of Narnia are doing a very good job in spreading the truth, I could go on and on forever.
The point I'm trying to make is don't let all the negative things of this fallen planet get you down, that's exactly what Satan wants you to do, the time you spend worrying about stuff you can't control, is time your not spending on your relationship with God.
Brother in Christ,

Well, gee whiz, why do you think conservative Christianity is waging a christian jihad against anyone who questions their faith or doctrines.
You give an excellent example in your question. First, his name is not Jesus Christ. When Miriam (Mary) stuck her head out the door to call her son to supper, She called for Y'Shua. That is Hebrew. Jesus is Greek. Secondly, again in Greek, he would be called Jesus THE Christ. Christ is a title, not a name.
I recommend a good college level course on the history of the western church. Or, if you cannot do that, a book titled, "A world Lit only by Fire". It is be William Manchester, an noted historian'.
People are not bashing Christianity, they are learning. and regrettable they are learning that a lot of what the church has presented over the centuries is counter to early Christian beliefs, is not even consistent with the words and actions of the Messiah.
Learn, my friend. An unquestioned, spoon fed religion is like salt that has lost it's flavor,°.

Ah...they could be, but the end times will come at a time known only by God and not before. We must have patience and wait upon the Lord for His time which is always better then our own. We only know that He is coming quickly and that might be in a thousands years, a million years, or a second. It does not matter for He is coming for sure, and whatever the world might throw against us the Lord has overcome them...and the victory is already ours. And that is good news!
Revelation 3:11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown
Revelation 22:7
“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
Revelation 22:12
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
Revelation 22:20
He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

I think people are afraid of facing the truth because their mythologies feel so good to them. And yes, I thlink it is a sign of the End Times, or the Last Days, or whatever you want to call it, before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

well If so, we would not trust the Christians because they are to closed minded and with there mentality how could they ever notice an anti-Christ. Putting my life in the hands of a christian or any other belief would be insane I will take my chances and look at the signs for myself, be it good or not and I would encourage every thing being on this planet to do the same

I believe so much coming out is merely a coincidence, and also part of a wakening. People are starting to realize the organized church has kept so many in the dark about the truths for centuries. People have been brainwashed for far too long. If you notice the church is starting to recant alot of their beliefs knowing that people just aren't going to buy them much longer.

Well, I do think Christianity was altered almost since the day it was called Chritianity; but the reason people are bashing it is simply because more and more people are becoming athiest and losing faith or belief in God and all religions in general.
(Its a cycle it repeats itself every few hundred years: we become too liberal, lose all values, become lost, Chaos, and then back to the religious times)
