11. Adds a 10 year 'statute of limitations' to give amnesty to illegals coming in in the future if they provide documentation saying they were here for 10 years at any future point. (This to people who have been using false documents all along.)

12. Each of the guest workers in each of the 1.5 million person PER YEAR and 200,000 unskilled person PER YEAR program would, upon obtaining residency or citizenship be able to bring their families as well. This includes indigent parents at a time when we already don't know how we will fund old age requirements for the baby boomers.

The Wall Street Journal just touted a poll saying Americans are beginning to prefer Bush and the Senate's view to immigration reform. However, I've read the questions they asked. Had I not actually read the Senate Bill and had I been asked those questions, I'd have ended up being counted as supporting Bush and the Senate in this. People only approve of the Senate Bill if they don't know what it says.

Oracle: I am very informed by both the public media and the people I know and the research of the subject. I suppose you have no idea of La Reconquista, and the pride of the hispanic community's goal that they will end diversity in California in 20 years and be a predominate one ehtinic state, and the goal of Mexico to get states back by votes leading to a civil war.

You don't have to take my word for it, I am not alone and the Minute men aren't a tea orgainization.

How many offical buildings down south from CA to FL can you find where they lowered the American flag and raised the Mexican one?

Ok, it's all just a funny joke. Mexico isn't laughing and neither are we that discovered the truth.

Oh, and i see your point is America should be open to anyone - to the tune of doubling our population every 60 years. I am glad you think we have unlimited resources and good to see competition like you've never seen before to raise you family.

It sucks!!! But please, please contact your legislators today and let them know how you feel. Pay attention to how they vote on the specific issues and let them know you are keeping a watchful eye on them.

No one can really answer your question, because you could be asking so many different things. If you're wondering why there is a call for reform, there are many reasons. My opinion is that the biggest reason is so that Bush can get his popularity up to help Jeb in the next election.
The most direct way I can put this is that to reform would be to better regulate taxation, working conditions and fraud for immigrants. Granting amnesty would makeit easier to enforce these new standards because people would not cooperate if coming forward as an illegal or the employer of one could mean federal charges and IRS investigations.
Conferancing with mexico before building a fence is just neighborly. Like if you wanted to build a fence around your yard, it would effectivly put a fence on at least one wall of your neighbors property. You would at least talk to them to make sure they dont mind, and see if there is anything you can do to make it more pleasing to them. Also its like putting a sheet between you and a roomate you dont like. We dont want Mexico to think we have something against them. Communication is the best anti-war tactic there is.
Agriculteral workers are actually a necessity in this country. Very few natural born americans are keen on manual labor these days. If there were Americans to fill these jobs, we would not have needed to turn to the illegals in the first place.
I am NOT a Bush supporter. Nor do I agree with all the details of this particular bill. However I do believe we need immigration reform, to better the lives of all the people who live and work in this country.
Your question is pretty open ended, and cant be answered completely, but I hope I at least gave you some insight on some aspects to look into for yourself.

You're either digressing from the truth or misinformed-hope its the latter. There is no amnesty for illegals. It clearly states that employers who knowingly hire illegals will be fined-and the key word is knowingly for if someone has forged papers then not knowingly hiring illegals. the direct path to citizenship is the same path that's taken and required NOW-no change. Guest worker programs allow people to enter legally, work and support family in their native country-reason why most illegals come here in the first place. This will drastically cut down on the big money business of forged papers which will cut down tremendously state, county, govt monies being claimed now by illegals with forged papers-no need in guest program for can work legally. All those against guest worker program volunteer to the work yourself. You can like or dislike but be truthful about it.

good i believe you completely approximately the illegals coming in right here and in need of the entire freebies. I additionally feel that if a unlawful immigrant is ill and does now not have a inexperienced card proving that they will have to be within the America then i feel for the security of our men and women right here they will have to be deported again to their nation and now not be allowed again in. We don't wish a disorder being introduced into our nation and now not recognise what or the way to manage it and allow it have an effect on our kids and father and mother or even us for that subject. So what's being performed approximately this? I feel that it used to be a horrible notion to allow them to simply come over right here for the sake of getting inexpensive hard work. Pay the darn salaries for the men and women to reconstruct our highways and roads and allow us to be healthful, to me it valued at each and every penney.

Its Baloney!!!!!

Emil your Senator and State Rep (look on web under your state 'sgoverment)and tell them they will not have your vote period if they don't take a stand. Tell them what your stand is and you don't want to hear (any email) anything else from them. Leave it with if they don't say something soon-they will not get your or anyone you can talk to vote period!

Support the Minutemen (they have a web site)-they are listening-send a dollar if that is all you can afford. Sign their petition.
