If you said that it was the lack of faith that caused me to ask these questions... then wouldn't it be true that blind faith is more dangerous then known faith so to speak???

Blind faith you will follow with no regaurds to anything else... How could this be a good thing? (Baring in mind that satin has many of the same ablities as god to speak to you and your heart.)

I don't see where blind faith to God and blind faith to Satan would be anywhere near the same thing -- there's the small matter where God is good and Satan is bad. And I think "blind faith" is not something that your average person of faith would claim to have anyway. I don't know anyone that has blind faith, we all have a conscience that leads us one way or the other...sometimes we make the right choices, but we often make the wrong ones because we have free will. But if you're defining blind faith as believing that God will ultimately make everything right in your life if you allow him to (even if that means going through some rough patches), then I guess my faith is indeed blind.

Blind faith is extreamly dangerous in my opinion due to the lack understanding of faith itself. By that I mean: faith in of itself is not blind; the individual who follows without question is blid. I do mean that one should 'call 'God' out' so to speak, but to question the given docterin. I for one do not believe that The Bible survived all those centuries without some human messing with it a bit. For example a common line that was quted to me as a child was "Thu shall not suffer a witch to live." When the original line was "Thu shall not suffer a suth sayer to live."

What most people call 'faith' or 'blind faith' (if u will) is really a religious belife confused for faith. U all know that being Christian is not a 'faith' it is a religious belife. Faith comes form with in ur self, and what u r told by a Priests, Rabbis, or Clerics is religion. And in that sense all faith is a blind leap into the unknown.

This may not answer your question, but I want to share an experience I had several years ago concerning faith... The sunday school teacher said he had faith that he could walk on water. I thought for a minute & spoke up>>> I'm not walking on water unless the Lord bids me to come (then I'd make sure beyond any doubt that it WAS the Lord who bid me to do so... & that would take longer than some might think). Anyway, because we're only human, our faith wavers from time-to-time. It can be strong one minute & gone the next! (that happened to Peter when his focus/faith was taken off of the Lord)... the devil's up to lots of tricks that we don't have a clue about, to take our focus off of the Lord, that could cause us to sink). The Lord also instills within us>>> common sense & I plan to use it, too, whenever the situation calls for it. I don't want to say>>> I have faith that I can walk on water, get out there in the middle of the deep, blue sea & test my faith against a big ol' storm, especially if the Lord hasn't told or asked me to do it in the first place. I realize He saves, but wouldn't want to go thru the glub-glub process before getting saved... that's using common sense. There's a time for us to use our faith & a time to use our common sense (knowledge, wisdom). God didn't give us common sense just for us to put it up on a shelf, but rather expects us to use it. All I'm really saying is, just because you're Christian, don't think that you always have to go on faith alone... use common sense too.

A person that is an actual believer is more than likely going to know who is speaking to them. Most "religious" and God fearing individuals are going to know what or who to listen to. Blind faith is good for some, in my opinion a little questioning is a good thing.

to answer your first question. you want to know is blind faith more then known faith. then i would have to say faith is the substance of things hoped for and evidence of things not seeing. so if you have faith in knowing that you are about to receive something with also having it been confirmed by man then that is by no means faith. blind faith is always a good thing why, because god said that if you have the faith the size of a mustard seed that you can move mountains. it was by faith that david killed golaith,it was by faith that abraham trusted the lord when he was asked to kill his only son issac,it was by faith that moses led the isrealites out of bondage,it was by faith that joshua fought the battle of jehrico, and it was by faith that we as firm beleivers in christ also have faith that no matter if someone take our life we have faith that they cannot take our soul. now to respond to your second question. yes satin can deceive you into thinking he has some of the same abilities as god,but since god is the supreme ruler of this universe and of all things. satan has no ability as god to really deceive you.that is why in the bible it states that we must be as gentle as doves and strong as scorpions. we have to read and study the bible so we can fight the battle against evil and if you know god words it will be easiser for you to tell in what spirit that this message was sent .like satan telling you he has the same abilities as god.

We are called to have faith, but it is true that blind faith would be a terrible thing. Of course, that is why God gives us gifts like discernment to help us distinguish what is from God and what isn't.

Blind Faith should lead you to God because so many believers are out there teaching The Word.
I am not a Bible Thumper but I do believe!

God gave us the ability to know right from wrong, those who know Christ are guided and convicted by the Holy Spirit. It's the people who don't know God and are spiritualy blind that I'm more concerned about.

If a person doesn't know that Satan exists how easy it would be for him to control that person with one of his fallen angels.

The blind lead other blind men into a pit.

Whether you have blind faith or known faith you will crash when you fall off the cliff. We will all know the true answer once we die - until then, to each is own.

Peace!
