We don't point to our mouths when we're hungry - or to our butts when we need to poop.
Time is something we are willing to share - our need to be on schedule is common to everyone, and is open to being shared.
Personal hygiene isn't necessarily something we want to share - just like we wouldn't point to our armpits when we forgot our deodorant, or our mouth if we forgot to brush - indeed, we would be more likely to avoid crowded places and chew some gum in those conditions.
I've seen people point to their eyes with their middle finger when they want to tell someone that they're unimpressed or disappointed - that is something that is universally communicated -- but what does it mean?

We point to our wrist because that is where people used to wear a tool that tells the time called watches. Its a way of asking the time without words, and transends the language barriers. We do not point at our 'private' parts when we have to pee because they are not seen as the tools we use to relieve ourselves. The toilet is the tool we use for that, hence why people often point in the direction of the bathroom when they have to use it.

Because people usually wear a watch on their wrist and last time I went to the bathroom I peed out of my private parts. They're just hand gestures used for communication

why do we point to our wrist when asking for time?
Because that's where our watch is.
Why don't we point to our prviate parts when need to pee?
Cos most people find it indecent.

I know people who hold their private parts when they have to pee... and point to them... and the time thing is obvious, that's where your watch goes.

we don't need to point...we kinda grab it (if a guy) or we squish our legs together (girl) so the pee doesn't come out...there's really no need to point when you can grab or squish and make a face telling everyone you need to pee
