A romantic way would be to maybe present her with some flowers or a single rose, and a note, whilst also asking her.

A wild way would be to fly a trailer on a small airplane over a beach with the message flying behind like I saw last year in Miami, or add the floating ribbon message to a Kite.... Grin!!!

What happens today is the girl gets pregnant, and her parents ask you. Sigh!!!!!! But this is not good advice...

well what i would do is take her out to a real nice restaurant but before you do that go there and talk to the waiter and give him the ring and ask him to put it on the plate when he serve you two dinner then when it come time and you 2 are at the dinner table with candle lite and soft music playing in the back ground you start to talk about how far you to have come and how much you love her then when you are ready to ask her to marry you give a singal to the waiter to bring you the dinner dishes then when the waiter get to your table tell him not to uncover the food then pop the question to her and if she say yes then take the cover off the dish and bingo there her ring know that would be cool.good luck

have you dropped hints, has she? do you know if she'd say yes already if so then if she's plain jane go for something simple, classy, don't do it at the front register at a restaurant where she's working and say "here" wanna? " like I saw a co-worker's boyfriend do. If rich girl, go all out. But you should know her by now, I personally would want something different not like everyone else, of course get down on one knee should be a given take her hand, find a nice quiet place first, timing, timing.

I was sitting next to my girlfriend at her parents house during dinner. We were in the middle of dinner and I didn't say a word. I just took the ring and slipped it on her finger under the table. She had a mouth full of food and she almost choked. Her mother was sitting across from her and she was starting to panic because of her daughter's expression. Then my girlfriend held up her hand and showed the ring to her mother and she almost choked too.
For some reason, probably because we are now divorced, I look back at that moment and smile. :-)
