Before washing your face (twice a day!), soak a washcloth in hot water and apply to your face for a few minutes to open the pores. Then wash with the rough side of the washcloth and whatever cleanser or soap you like. After washing, rinse well with tepid, then cool water to close the pores again. You'll get more dirt and oil out that way, and prevent so much buildup in the pores which is what causes pimples.

Hello, If you are a teenager try and reduce the fats and oils in your diet. Include plenty water, vitamins and healthy foods. At the same time wash your face often and cleanse it according to your skin type, because a person with oily skin or dry skin uses different products so you don't make your problem worse. As we age or have medical problems it can cause pimples to appear then you should see a doctor. Don't take a chance with your health. You can see your family doctor he or she can help you just as well as a specialist. Best of luck enjoy the summer...

Dude, I tried EVERYTHING for 15 years! Then I started going to an aestitician (higher than a cosmetologist but lower than a dermatologist) and using PCA products. You can get them at skincarerx.com
Try the sample kit for acne, only like $12. Fast shipping, too. Going to the aest. in the office I got facial peels that really helped a lot, too but they can get expensive. I was ready to pay whatever it took! Actually, it's cheaper than trying everything else and throwing it away! Look at PCA's official website for an office near you, in a spa or a dr. office. Then after you're cleared up they have stuff for taking away the scars or red stains. I'm telling you this stuff is AWESOME and I'm so excited to share with you!
Think twice before using a rx like Accutane. I promise my stomach hasn't been the same since, and it really wasn't the miracle they promised.

The main culprit is your diet. A lot of fried foods, soda, chocolate, etc......eliminate or cut back. Make sure you clean your face and use a moisturizer. Use a mask at least once a week Mint Julep is a good one and last but not least drink plenty of water. Oh........stop touching your face with your hands, too many germs!!!!! You can try over the counter items and probably find something that will work for you.

Both my sisters have used a generic version of Proactive and it greatly helped both of them. Clean and Clear Advantage is also a good line that you can get at any store.

Wash the affected area with Ivory soap. Ivory isn't loaded with all those strange perfumes and irritants. Plus it's dirt cheap. Hooray!
