Try playing any of the memory games. Make it a routine for a month or so, and see it there is any improvement in your memory. Also chess is a good game for memory. Once u have played the game try to remember all the moves that were made on the board. Try to remember as much as u can.No matter what method u use just dont give up. Also Check these links out.

Brain memory is redundant...
There are no supplements that increase memory.
Only practice in a variety of different activities really helps, also pegging (or complex grouping) does much to help with short term memory recall by adding meaning and allowing for many small pieces to be grouped into fewer large pieces that can be broken down.

No answer can be the right answer, because it depends on the person who is asking. Most people use different techniques, you should go to your doctor, or pyschologist and they will reccommend vitamans or over the counter drugs to help, many so called "Remedies" will not work. Our memories are different for each person as is the way we think, and learn. Some people are left brained and right brained, so they use different ways of learning.

Read lots of books that stimulate your mind.
Use your brain a lot as in challenge it. Think critically, solve mental puzzles stuff like that.
Eat almonds. They are famous for improving memory.
It's easier for the brain to retain visual images then characters. So when possible associate a picture with things or a visualize stuff and then try to remember them.

the amount we remember is determined by our method of learning.some people learn more by reading, some by talking it out or hearing ,others by pictures or activities.you just have to find out which one suits you. scientific studies show that we remember up to 5%of what we read.we can remember even more if we use a combination of techniques such as reading with added pictures or listening with activities. it also helps to do over what your trying to remember.also, don't push yourself to remember, our brain only operates its best at the first 10minutes then our attention span drops .so take it cool with regular break intervals.
oh yeah find what time of the day suits you best , are you a morning , evening ,or night person? this can apply to studying.

absolutely play video games that mess with your mind and are complicated. i'm no longer speaking about intense call Of accountability or some thing like that. evaluate the game said as "mind Age" for Nintendo DS. no longer in reality does the game boost your memory, yet also different aspects of the mind that desire paintings as well.

it is good to listen to a song while learning something and then play that song later to try to remember all of it.
another thing to try is to close your eyes. the first color that you see is red because the light coming through your eyelids mades it red. using your brain, focus on changing the red to orange, then orange to yellow, and so on through the whole rainbow. it is a mental wake up for your brain. it is really good to do before learning new information
