As long as your people (some, not all) continue to threaten Israel, blow stuff up on a daily basis, and call America "the great satan" then we will keep driving our M1-A1 tanks over your grandma, its as simple as that.

Whilst I agree in princple with your assertion that the USA does not have the right to attack anyone on religious grounds. I cannot believe you think that "Muslims are living happily in their countries with Islam". Sunni's and Shi'ites they get on so well, don't you think? And that's been going on for centuries (Nothing to do with the US).
I also think it's interesting that some political factions in Palestine are quite good a killing each other for no better reason than power.
I believe your arguement is flawed because Bush, Al-qaida et al have the same agenda and this has nothing to do with any religion no matter how these people present themselves to the world.

I like the idea of freedom. As a woman, that is very important, in context. There are a great number of things that, in reality, makes this country look like a booger on the face of the world. However, the notion of a free country where a person is free to live, believe, think and/or say whatever and however they wish is kind of a catch-22. We pay high prices for this freedom, positively and negatively.
I don't really care about anyone's religion. In fact, I think that religion is just an excuse for people to disagree with one another. I am a Christian, in that I believe in one God, and I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. It is not a religion, though. It is how I've chosen to live...peacefully: making sure that I do the right thing, even if the cost is steep and standing up for what is right without stepping on people to do it.
What I'm trying to say is that I don't believe anyone has the right to force a nation to do anything, really. Bush is doing whatever he's doing for political reasons, as any polititian would. Religion couldn't be that important to him, or he'd be making his decisions based on his own religion.
One thing that I have noticed, though, is that, while you may not be able to get away with opposing opinions in an Islamic country, keep in mind that you are currently corresponding with a country that gives you the right to go online and express them in public as you are now.

Do you want a genuine answer to your question, an "All You Need Is Love" cliche response, or are you merely interested in milking the venom from those to whom any criticism of the US is an excuse for abuse?
Not all Muslims are "living happily in their countries".
Not all Americans want to be your Uncle.
And if Muslims weren't sitting on top of oilfields, America wouldn't give the slightest damn about your religion, society, or economy.

Muslims are living happily in their countries with Islam? Maybe you should read some more on the "peaceful" history of your own country and region before making remarks about the US!

The US doesn't have the right to invade another country. It doesn't matter if the p[opulation ofthe country is unhappy or not, it doesn't matter what their religion is, it doesn't matter what their political tendencies are.
The US attacked Iraq because they were asked to by Israel and intended to do it no matter what. That is why they couldn't wait until the UN weapons inspectors could confirm that there were no WMDs. That would take away any justification for an invasion.

i apologize for conchdot and others who might say such things in response to your valid grievance. i am personally constantly looking for an opportunity to apologize for what my country has done to people just like you. i have been reading books on the subject and have found that not only has bush done the exact opposite of what he should have done in response to 9-11, but our government has been doing this for years. so has yours, most likely.
This ridiculous idea that our so-called "team b" guys have is incredibly dangerous and so ill-conceived it makes me furious. the idea is that if America can evangelize democracy around the world then we will protect ourselves. the notion also includes helping other nations out, and although it may be sincere, comes across as arrogant, authoritative, and devoid of diplomacy. there are many people in washington who oppose the idea, but sadly the GOP is now in power and mostly tows the party line. when democrats take over the house and senate this year, however, the administration will likely be impeached for war crimes, which will send the best message yet to the world: America does not stand for officials who want to control the world.
I would like to appeal to your sense of perspective about this issue, and hope you see that our government does not represent the American people. Our elections were stolen and most of us in fact did not ask for a vengeful cowboy to go romping around the mid east trying to secure non-threatening states in order to protect Israel and secure business with oil and natural gas companies. additionally, we are not by any stretch worse than other governments around the world, we are simply NO BETTER. surely you cannot blame us for missteps of our government unless we had a unanimous referendum to invade iraq and mess it up as bad as we did.
my hope is for reconciliation. i have nothing against your religion or any religion, as long as it does not bring injustice, genocide, unlawful wars, hegemony, suppression etc to citizens of any nation. i think if you look even at your own religion you will see there are followers who perpetrate these atrocities, and to those people and to their version of Islam i say i have zero respect. Nothing, and i mean NOTHING warrants 9-11, just like nothing warrants what happened in Palestine in 1967. If you believe that these injustices cause hatred for the west then i will agree with you, but if you say that retribution is warranted then you are no better than the extremists in this country.

Write to your Islamic congressman. Maybe he will ask the Americans to stop keeping peace in your perfect little world.
Americans aren't going wrong in this world. And freedom is what America is all about. Dude, we don't care who you call God.
