Does it sound like my "friend" is lying to me or not?
I try really hard to believe my "big brother-in-law" is a good man, but it is hard because last thursday he told his gf that his friend Josh liked me alot. His gf knew that Josh looked good and told my brother that I liked Josh too, so then his gf told my brother to tell Josh to meet me at the pool. Josh never came. My brother told me it was because Josh was busy but he really wanted to come to see me.
Secondly, my brother told me that he gave Josh my cell phone number and that Josh was going to call me. Josh never called, but I also found out that my brother told Josh not to call me until a few days went by so that he would not look desperate. I also added Josh as a friend on xanga, Josh added me, but when I tried to message him, he said things like, " I don't even know a Larry" Now, please tell me what you think of this situation that way I could show your responses to my brother and his gf.
Thank you

HHmmmm..... you've given this Josh guy alot of chances-- a pool-side meeting, he has the cell phone number, and can reach you online, yet none of these things has worked.
Sounds to me like you were more interested than he is, (no big deal) and maybe that some people miscommunicated along the way!! Here's the skinny: you don't need to deal with Josh in your life on a regular basis, and he sounds like a dud anyway. It seems like you do deal with some of the other people involved, so forget about talking to Josh, and address this situation with the people you are trying to trust. Let them know that the "he-said, she-said" crap doesn't work for you, and in this case really hurt. It sounds like all of the people involved could use some work on their communication skills. Lead by example by trying not to talk behind people's backs, and when these "friends" do it just let them know in a nice way that you're trying your best to stay away from drama, and that if the person isn't there, you don't want to talk about them. If you are someone who enjoys that stuff (the gossip wheel) then, unfortunately you're headed for more of these games. Let's face it, it's alot better to be rejected once and to your face than three times, left waiting and wondering....

I'm a bit confused on your story, but here's what I think:

That Josh dude...he ain't interested in you. If he was, he'd step up like a man and stop saying kid stuff like "I don't even know a Larry" and stuff. Why don't you just go up to Josh in person and ask him if he's really interested in you or not? Don't believe what your brother and his girlfriend say, they could be pulling your leg.

Your brother did you dirty. He shouldnt have told Josh to wait and Josh should grow up and if he really liked you he would call you and not be a jerk. Your brother should want to see you happy and not help play games with your emotions

It really sounds kind of cruel.Like a joke or something.I don't think there is a real lie,but like play lying to pull off some joke on you, which is not funny at all. It's not cool to play with someones emotions. To end this matter i would go straight to this guy and come clean and ask him with eyes on eyes on how he truly felt about you. Then you would know from the horses mouth on whats what.It also sounds like there is to many messengers involved anyway. To many mixed signal's,trust me,if a guy really wants to meet with a girl,he will, there would be nothing to hold him back!Just food for thought,i hope i am wrong for your sake, and that everything works for the good for you, since you like this guy.Good Luck to you!

Sounds to me like you are getting the "he said, she said" run around. Have you meet this Josh before? If so, go talk to him yourself and find out what's really going on.

i do not agree. i'd lie for you if I had to: and that i do not even understand you. relies upon what stress the religion replaced into lower than, and no matter if i replaced into attempting to barter area for it among the irrational. I actually don't have any worry mendacity to the irrational, provided that they could't probable thoughts being lied to or they does no longer misinform themselves a lot. truth is for sure no longer an situation for them. I play draughts with them that play draughts with me. in the adventure that they change to chess mid interest, so do I. there's a very good line between being honest, and being an fool.
