I truly feel bad for you,but you need to see or search the reasons on why your parents feel the way they do towards him,i mean i would take some heed to their actions, remember they have more wisdom from age and experience. However,if they really don't have the facts to back their actions, this is something you will have to face with your parents.Always be honest with them no matter if they are not going to approve. You are an adult, and you need to let them know that you are not trying to hurt them by your choices of life, that you are trying to find your way and if it is a mistake, then you need to find that out as well. This is how wisdom comes, with experiences in our daily lives. One thing to remember is your parents have an unconditional love no matter what, just like you do for them.I just hope your boyfriend proves them wrong and doesn't make you regret any decision that you might make.Without family,we have nothing! I hope the best for you,Good Luck!

My dear....you are, or should be, old enough to make decisions for yourself. If you have done all the right things with your relationship with your boyfriend then you should have no problems moving in with him.
If you've been together with him a good long time and know him well, and you two have long term plans then you should move out and you and he find a place of your own and start your lives together.
Your parents should respect that decision and support you. They may and should voice any concern, but they shouldn't stand in your way. If they did their job as parents correctly then they should now take stock in al the years they put in teaching you and raising you. After all that's what those years are for and that's what a parent is all about.

Do you honestly believe your parents would kick you out, if you told them that you were dating the boyfriend they thought you stopped seeing? There are a few steps to handling this situation. First understand why your parents are against your boyfriend. Are there some bad things they see in him that you do not see because you love him? Two, observe your boyfriend closely. What is he doing for himself. What does he do for a living? Does he go to school? You do not want to move in with this guy, if he does not have anything going on for himself and does not work. More importantly, you could get pregnant by this person you love, and you later find out that he is not as responsible as you thought he was. How many young single mothers do you know? I bet they were in love too; furthermore, things like moving in with someone takes time. Please listen to your parents and don't rush things.

just be straight up with them. I wanted to badly to move in with a boyfriend about 10 yrs ago, my dad hated him and was strongly against it, we even went and looked for apartments together and saved money for the deposit and the rent.. well needless to say things didn't work out and now I couldn't of ever imagined marring him much less having kids with him. I am married now(to someone else) and I have a beautiful daughter. I don't know where my life would have ended up if we did move in together, sometimes parents know best even if we don't think they do

You say "I am 20 years old but I still live with them and I dont want them to kick me out if they find out Im with him." BUT you also say..."I want to move in with my boyfriend "
So which is it??? I think you just answered your own questions I mean who cares if they kick you out IF you want to move in with him?!?! AND ALSO why do you have posted questions)1 month and one week ago) about him cheating and hitting his other girlfiriend and getting arrested and still talking to her and lieing to you about it....YET YOU WANT TO move in with him??? You mention marriage etc.. but there is mention that he hit his ex girlfriend?? No wonder your parents do not like him!!! There are a million and one fish in the sea and you picked this one?? Obvioulsy you both have some major things to work out before you move in together or get married. Your parents are trying to protect you since he has a history..history will repeat it'self.

i am sure ur family wants what's best for u and that they can help u out with your decisions in life based on their experience which surely is much bigger than urs. so my advice for u is to do what your parents tells u to or at least think about the reasons they hate your boyfriend! maybe if u think their way, u'll be conviced. i know that u wont like my answer but believe me that's the right thing to do.

Why do they hate him? Ask yourself honestly if they might be right. Ask friends and other family members for their HONEST opinion of your boyfriend. Don't judge them if they don't like him!
It could be that you see this boy through rose-colored glasses. Sometimes it is difficult to tell when you are really in love, or just in love with the idea of being in love. Get other opinions before acting.

Your 20 .If hes good to you and not abusive and your set on it,give it a try.Or you could get your own place and just spend time at his place and yours. This way youd have the opportunity to know if thats what you both want .Sometimes because someone else doesnt like someone you do people tend to hang on tighter . .

If you are 20 years old say mom and dad I'm moving in with my b/f
What can they do? They will get use to it and come around.
Tell them you aren't choosing between them that you want to be happy and he makes you happy.
Don't make it a choice thing.
BTW
I was 24 beofre I left home. :)

Your 20, still @ home? Go ahead and move out, time for you to support yourself anyway, instead of leaching off your parents.
