I must say this first. I am from Oklahoma & I work in a liquor store. For any of you lucky, lucky folks who have been to Oklahoma & visited a liquor store, you may know what I am talking about. We have the stupidest laws here. No cold beer except for beer that is 3.2% alcohol or less, which is like drinking piss water (I would assume), and considering that most of the beers are 6.0% alcohol, you would have to consume double the amount to achieve the same affect. Good luck with not peeing on yourself. We can sell 'strong' beer but it is not chilled, so that sucks. Since we cannot sell it cold, Budweiser, Miller, Coors, etc. is not sold strong. They say that they do not want their beer sold warm because it takes away from the beers quality or some crap. They only place that you can legally buy cold 'strong' beer is at the bar & that is too expensive. Anyway, I don't really have a taste for beer. I like Tona, it is from Nicaragua (sp? sorry) of course I have had tons of Bud & Bud Lt, it is like the most popular thing here, no offense, but it is totally a redneck's drink. Anyway, I tried Pete's Wicked Strawberry Blonde last weekend. Okay. It sucked. It was so bitter. But if you like that, hey, you might try it. My husband got some Sapporo Light tonight, he really liked it. I didn't have any. Negra Modelo is pretty good. Hmm. Heineken is alright, I couldn't drink more than a couple, though. Newcastle is definately not one of my favorites, though. It's bitter also. Anyway, I guess I am rambling. Thanks for the points! -a-
EDIT: I forgot, I do like Sparks+ 7.0. It's pretty damn good!

Here is a beer that you will probably never have in your life (and I feel sorry for that).
Rouge Ale's Shakespear Stout. It has won tons of awards throughout the years including a 99 out of a 100 at the World Beer Championships 1994, higher than any of the other 309 beers that year. Since 1993 it has received 4 golds and 3 bronzes from the World Beer Championships. It is a great upgrade from Guinness.
If you are a fan of Heineken, and you ever get the chance to try a Warsteiner. Do it, you won't regret that choice either.
If you are a fan of ales. The World Champion at the last two (2005, 2004) World Beer Championships is another Rouge Ale called Oregon Golden Ale, but neither the pils (Warsteiner) or ale (Rouge) would I consider a "dark beer."
I said that you wouldn't regret trying these, but on second thought:
If you like Guinness or Heineken, or any massly produced/imported beer, you may regret drinking some of these for the sole reason that they may ruin your liking of some of those lesser beers out there. But I would take the chance if you ever get it.

reliable question... i have sampled plenty! the following contained in the Pacific NW, i love lots of the micros, yet even as i'm eating out, i will many times have a Widmer Hefeweizen or a "Moose Drool" brown ale from enormous Sky Brewing. In Europe, i really loved Bitburger as a "mass marketplace" beer, yet the position I lived in Holland (South Limburg), the community brew grow to be said as "form" and we drank a impressive form of that. demanding question, those are a number of my faves, yet I change round each and every time i favor to objective some thing new or be different.

Moosehead for a clean, refreshing lager. Newcastle Brown ale for something with a little more punch, but still pretty easy going.

Smithwicks! Best to get it on draft in Ireland, but I'll take the bottled stuff over that bland tuff they sell in the USA.
