for the punnett square you need to include parents info to your own to find out your own offspring. the genotype should have 4 letters, meaning 2 sets of genotypes for each contributing parent/ meaning me and my bf. i believe i would be BBBb with brown eyes dominant from both my parents. for my bf he wouol be bbBb for his blue eyes from mom and hazel from dad. i learned this in bio, i was just looking for a quick answer. maybe i will just do a punnett square on paper. if anyone knows of any good websites that offer plug in info on punnett squares, please let me know. thanks, and sorry for all the details or any confusion.

Odds are that your children will have brown hair and brown eyes. Blue eyes are recessive - possible but not the odds-on favorite. Red hair is also recessive and usually skips a generation - possible but again, not the odds-on favorite. Brown eyes are dominant, as is dark hair.
Still, you could be surprised with a blond, blue-eyed child, or red hair and hazle eyes. It's a crapshoot.

well you do a punnet square. Or do some research online about it. Like the majority is brown eyes. for hair it could either be brown or red a chance of black. basically its percentiles. But doesn't mean its going to happen that way. But its fun figuring out the combinations of the different possiblities. One trait is dominant over the other. One is Dominant for example the brown eyes. recessive is the blue eyes. More than likely child will have brown eyes. but child could have blue eyes. Just look up punnet squares and find the endless possiblities.

Hair can be red, brown or reddish brown. Most likely (50%) reddish brown, that is called co-domminance.
Eyes are a completely different thing. There are 5 eye colors, here is their order of dominance.
Brown
Hazel
Gray
Green
Blue
Since both of you have blue eyes, the kids automatically will.
When someone has brown eyes, they can have a recessive gene of any of the other four. But since both of you have the most recessive, there is nothing to recede to and the eyes will be blue

ok well in scientific terms your eyes are probably BB (two brown dominant genes) so your kids would almost for sure have brown eyes. Now if your parents parents had blue eyes, then you could have a blue eye gene, which combined with your boyfriend could give blue eyed kids. Most likely they'll be brown though. For hair - your red means rr (two recessive) while your BF probably has Rr (recessive and dominant) so say you have 4 kids - you'd have 3 brown and one red.

I have always heard that brown eyes dominate over blue eyes at least thats what my ex mother in law always said. My ex husband has blue and green eye color and blond hair. I have brown eyes, they are almost black and my hair is a dark brown. My mothers natural hair color is brown, with real light brown eyes. My dads hair was reddish brown and his eye color was almost black. My twins sons have brown eyes and blond hair and my daughter has real light brown eyes and blond hair, and my other son has eyes almost black and dark brown hair mixed with red. He's the spitting image of my dad who I loved dearly and who died 24 years ago this year. So I don't know what to tell you except don't worry about it and pray everyday that your little one is healthy which I'm sure you do. Congradulations and good luck.

Brown eyes are dominant over blue. Your kids will have a 50% chance of brown eyes if you are hetrozygous for that gene, or 100% if you're homozygous. The hair colour will be brown with red highlights.

I think the kids will have very light brown eyes. All of my family have blue eyes and all of my kids have very light brown eyes except for one which has dark brown . As far as hair goes only one of my children has dark hair which is the same one with the darker eyes all the rest had hair that was darker at birth but turned lighter.

There is no answer to your question. We can help you figure out statistical probabilities, but that doesn't mean that's what's going to happen.
The reality is that your children could have any color hair and any color eyes because between the two of you, you carry all the genetic material for any of it to happen.
The ONLY genetic certainty is that two blue-eyed people can only give birth to blue-eyed babies. The rest is up to God.

you are most likely going to get a red hair/blue eyed child. I also have red hair and brown eyes, and all but one of my kids have blue eyes, so dont count on brown being dominant.

It had to do with recessive traits. If a double rescessive happens then blue eyes happens for example. If your Dad and Mom with brown eyes don't have a recessive for blue, then your kids CAN'T have blue eyes. Just learn basic Genetics if you care more about it.
