Reinforce how much you care as much as you can, even if you sound like a broken record. Don't expect a positive repsonse. Expect denial and anger. Try not to take it to heart. Be firm, but not angry yourself. Have suggestions ready for support groups, (they do exist and you may even find them in the blue pages of your phone book US). You are in for a tough time. If someone is destroying their life with addiction, all you can do is intervene and make your feelings known, Unfortunately you cannot force them to get help, they have to do this part themselves. Best of luck.

Yeah, Markinprov is right. Be certain to have a mental health professional with you. Cripes...how the heck can someone have that problem the way society is today? I just don't get the preversion.

Make sure you have the assistance of a mental health professional first. Try not to have too much expectation that it will work, yet if you care that much it is worth trying.
