Well, first learn all you can about the Bible.
Second, live a Godly life.
Third, learn all you can about the Bible.
Fourth, live a Godly life.
Fifth, when someone tells you that the Bible is full of errors simply say oh really? Where, please show me. If they show you a passage you will have studied the Bible enough to be able to show them they are wrong and why there are no errors in the Bible.
Sixth, show them that archeology totally supports Biblical facts. Make sure you can tell the facts about it.
Seventh, show them that there are scientific principles in the Bible that were revealed hundreds of years before science even knew about them.
Make sure you can tell the facts about it.
This should help you.

Research and Study... I did an essay for a senior in High School on Evolution vs the Bible, and it was given an award for truism. I did a 4 month study on all of Evolution facts, then gave the facts according to the Bible. When you present someone that disbelieves with these facts, it will raise an eyebrow to say the least. I totally enjoy my studies, which have proven without a shadow of a doubt, that we did NOT evolve, but were created.

You can go back to the time of Jesus in Jerusalem and see the places that He walked and the evidences of the walls of Jericho. The history that the Bible gives us is the same as what archiologists come up with. Also, the word "inspired" origionally means, "God breathed". It comes from the greek language.

Wow, I'm really not surprised that you only have a few sincere answers here...I don't agree with atheists, but at least a couple of them have the courtesy to give you a polite, sincere answer. I have to respect that.

I am a Christian. I struggle with this myself. I believe that unless God opens their hearts, they will NOT see. Even in Biblical times, God had purposes to harden people's hearts to the Truth (take the Pharaoh who wouldn't let the Israelites go). He did so, so that His power and grace would be revealed.

Best option is like the first answer: teach by example. I have had people actually ask me why I am so happy, content, calm. That's my chance to say, it's not me, it's all God. If they seem open, I tread lightly.

Ever heard of 'Free Will'? Some real big guy from the sky once thought that would work. Don't you?

As for preaching, sorry, but I've read the bible on several occasions, also read other religious works. Why tell me what I already KNOW? I haven't forgot it....just CHOOSE(there's that Free Will again!)not to believe it.

Tell them to read it. Encourage them to read it. And give them a modern translation.

You can encourage them to read it by giving them prophecies, this is one of my favorites:

Jer 16:13 Therefore I will hurl you out of this land into a land that neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor.'
Jer 16:14 "Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when it shall no longer be said, 'As the LORD lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt,'
Jer 16:15 but 'As the LORD lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the north country and out of all the countries where he had driven them.' For I will bring them back to their own land that I gave to their fathers.

And there are many other examples. But tell them that this prophecy was given thousands of years ago before the Jews were scattered all over the world. And tell them that the State of Israel proved this prophecy.

More importantly this prophecy says the Jews will no longer be remembered for the Exodus but for their return to their homeland.

What do we remember the Jews for? Look at history! We remember them for the Holocaust and how the UN helped them get a land of their own so they would no longer be prosecuted.

Explain why an omnimax God can't figure out a way to communicate a coherent message to everyone everywhere, and has to rely on fallible people to get the word out.

You mean how to help people to have faith.

Actually, you can pray for them to have faith in God. Let God help them and give them the grace that they need in their life.

If they can just have a little faith in a GREAT AND MIGHTY GOD, it counts alot and they can move mountain.
