It is correct that 5ml=1tsp. So, almost 1 tsp. After this dose, I suggest you go to the store and buy or ask a different pharmacy for a measuring spoon for infants. It is a plastic spoon that you fill with medicine. It is in ml's. It is much easier to use and will make you feel more careful.

There are a thousand mililiters to the liter. A liter is about 1.1 times a quart. There are 64 ounces in a quart and a teaspoon is equal to one ounce. Now figure it out from there.

1 tsp = 5 ml
--------------
x tsp = 4 ml

4x1 = 4 5 x X = 5X

4 divided by 5 = 0.8 tsp so 0.8 tsp = 4ml

Responses without sources aren't answers, just opinions. ESPECIALLY WHERE THE WELFARE OF AN INFANT IS CONCERNED!!!

1 U.S. customary teaspoon = 1/6 U.S. fl. oz (4.93 mL)
1 Imperial teaspoon = 1/8 Imperial fl. oz (3.55 mL)

I teaspoon is 5mL, so 4mL would be 4/5 of a teaspoon.

One teaspoon is 5ml so 4ml is less than one teaspoon.
