I always take my sister with me, she always wants to give up & walk but I make her carry on. This is motivation for me as well as her because if I want to stop & rest, I won't because it will make me look like a hypocrite.
Don't go it alone, take someone with you.

Seriously, the best thing to do, is just get started. Jogging and exercise are so awesome for your body and mind. It's almost like caffeine, once you start you just need more. Don't kill yourself the 1st time out, jog for a mile and 1/2, walk when needed. Then take the next day off. Read up an article on jogging, it will help motivate yourself, or go buy some new running shorts, shoes, etc.
Good luck and have fun.

I always motivate myself by convincing myself that I'm jogging for someone or something, like a special someone or to impress someone. Stuff like that always helps me.

Well its all up to you. I run everyday two to three miles and the way to do is to not think about it, and if you do think about all the benefits that you're getting from it.
