Drastic weight loss is dangerous and typically rebounds. You gain it back. A true change in lifestyle, in which you lower your caloric intake just a little is sustainable for a long time. It means your body can adjust to your weight change. It means your mind can adjust to your behavior change. Depending on pills means you aren't really changing your behavior, you are just depending on the drugs.

Of course, if you are so overweight that there are serious health consequences, you will need to do something more drastic. Only do that under a doctor's care.

Losing weight gradually and naturally is always better for your body in the long run. I've heard some of those diet pills have pretty bad side effects. You could try a weight loss program, I use Weight Watchers, and some of my friends have had really good results with the South Beach Diet.

Good for you. The gradual loss will motivate you as it happens and even a little bit of weight loss will make you feel better and healthier. I am doing the same thing.

Years ago I lost 20 pounds simply by eating less and exercising more. Best thing is that I've kept it off all these years.
I've had yet to come across a diet pill that truly works. I still have those last few stubborn pounds.

It is so much better to lose weight slowly. Only those that are severly obese have benefits from rapid weight loss and that is just because that much weight is already such a stress on their heart. Its better on your heart to lose weight slowly so it can adjust. Just keep on the trail and you can do it, best of luck

Yes it will be much better for you in the long run. I lost 20 pound taking it slow. Just exercise daily, eliminate junk food, and take small proportion when you eat.

It's healthier and you will be able to keep it off alot easier. Good choice. Your body is not a toy balloon to be inflated and deflated all the time.
