Have Word 2000, can't access it. What's the problem. Windows 98 system. Irv?

Would uninstalling Word 2000 and reinstalling it help?

You can certainly try uninstalling and reinstalling. Word 2000 should run fine on a Win98 system. When setup starts you can also just trying to do a repair.
