Whenever i straighten my hair at home the ends of my hair at the top of my head go rough and doesnt look good. This is why i dont like straightening it. But when i go to the hair dressers and get it straightened there the ends of my hair are smooth and not rough.
How could I get this effect at home by using a hair straightener or any other products?

If you are chemically straightening it at home, the type you buy at walgreens or the store, these are less powerful but also more damaging than those your stylist can purchase because she has a license. The professional strength chemicals are much better, but more difficult to use. You can't do anything about that, except to either go to the stylist to get it straightened or use a good product on your hair everyday (see below).
If you are straightening it with an iron or blow dryer, use a heat-activated conditioner before hand or rub in a small amount of pomeade afterward and it will smooth it nicely. Just don't use too much pomeade (suave actually makes a men's smoother that's cheap and works nice. It's "men's" for marketing, so it doesn't matter if you're not a man)

you may need to put some kind of oil on your hair to prevent it from burning on the ends or maybe even frizz ease before styling

Just ask your hair dresser what they do. It might be your straightner also.
