Which is a better source of answers, Yahoo! Answers or wikipedia? Why?

Seems the answers are falling into five groups
1. Those who didn't bother to read the question. (For this question google was not one of the options.)
2. Neither is very good. (At least as formal source)
3. Yahoo! is better. (Not a surprising answer.)
4. Wikipedia is better. (Again not a surprising answer.)
5. Yahoo! is better for some questions and wikipedia is better for others.

Sadly, very few people answered the why part of the question.

Wikipedia is a notoriously unreliable source, and so is Yahoo! Answers. If I were writing a paper I would be laughed at by my professors if I turned something in citing either. It's not that Yahoo or Wiki are horrible, it's just that the Internet is not reliable as books and publications are because any layperson with questionable credibility can post answers.

it depends on what the question is. most of the time wikipedia gives you very detailed info, but if you need some one experienced to answer you about relationships or something like that, yahoo answers is the way to go!

I have to aggree with the second person that answered... Its the type of question that you are asking... If the answer is a tecnocal answer that you are looking for then its the web cite that you sited... If its an opinionated or experince based question then here if you only count the real answers.
