I am using prozac for 7 weeks now. The daily dose is gradually rised to 60 mgs (now for 3 weeks)

I have been on Prozac for 15 years now and it helps me. They tried to put me on Effexor, I took it for awhile, but it did make me sweat buckets even in the winter, and it made me feel tense all the time. Clenched teeth, headaches, tight muscles. So I stopped the Effexor.

There are several side effects of each and if one doesn't work try another. I personally can not take Prozac, it made me mean and I had thoughts of self destruction and taking others with me so they would not have to suffer the depression I was experiencing. I haven't taken anything in 5 years but am now having depression again. My Dr. gave Cymbalta. I haven't tried it yet, just got it today. I have had Dr. prescribed "cocktails" before and some of them were fine. But if you really want to know what drugs interact well with others ask your pharmacist. I think they have a better understanding of the chemical compounds. The Dr.s just push what ever the reps leave them .Or depending on which pharmaceutical company they have stock in . Hahahaha.

The number 1 is sexual of both
Lack of desire or functioning
Effexor can cause sweating and this passes in time
unfort the first one..sexual: doesnt however it goes away in 48
hours after the last dose ! Its not a permenant effect !
NEVER stop cold turkey
taper off !!!!!
Try excersise ie walking
Its the BEST anti dep out there
Get it going and you can TAPER off the meds and your side effects will not be there

well my ex was on effexor and trust me it EFFECTS HER when she didnt take it she was this crazy a s s so i think mixing it might not be good
