we have a dance competetion coming up, does anyone know a software that i can download to EASILY mix and cut music???

COOL EDIT 2000 PRO IS A CLASS ACT.
To get it, first download BEARSHARE (a p2p program) and install it.
When installed, open it and search for Cool Edit and choose the user(s) who might seem to have the best and fastest download for you. It might be a zip file so make sure you have Winzip or Winrar to extract the compressed files to your pre-determined folder.
Now install COOL EDIT and WOW...what a tool.

Audacity is surely the best free music maker and is great for making music.

It's perfect even for beginners because the software is really intuitive ad easy to use but at the same time it has really advanced functions for more experienced users.
It's a program that I definitely reccomed!

Nickatee- Nope, Audacity does paintings with WAVs as reliable. also AIF, AU, MP3 and OGG. no longer certain what the OP's worry perchance although, no matter if that's from iTunes perchance the DRM (digital Rights administration) is preventing it from loading thoroughly.

go to http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/beta_windows and download audacity and the plug-ins you can cut paste and mix and record with it and it is free
