Its capitalism. We outsource 78 percent of everything we use. Our biggest supplier is china. You should go to Atomfilms.com and watch "ha ha ha America" we spend nearly 350 billion dollars a year in china, how much do they spend on our products? 32 billion. Big business will be the fall of our economy. Getting rich seems great doesnt it? What would you buy? Where would you go on vacation? Its the capitalist sentiment embedded in our nation. theres nothing we can do but watch ourselves die, because as soon as someone speaks out against it, they are "loony left wing liberal hippies and "communists". Well you know what, there was a time during the enlightenment period when communism was a seriously considered idealism in this very country. Funny how it is now demonized when it threatens the rich and supports the poor. Notice how "evil" communist china is? Then why in the hell is their nation booming and and growing and developing free national healthcare and has little to no unemployment and their education sets a would standard??? People need to wake up and smell reality. Im sorry a I strayed off topic there. The answer is "It is cheaper for America to have products made and developed in other countries like china . . . and because the care more about the price than the wellbeing of the country they occupy.". Sorry again, I get all fired up about my how my country is treated by the very people populating it. :)

Oh but all our ancestors came from somewhere else," you will say. "The American Indians are the only natives" No people are "native" to the Americas. Besides there is no such thing as a full blooded Indain anymore. 514 since Christopher Columbus discovered the New World and 514 years of intermarriage ended that. Besides the Vikings came 500 years before Columbus to the east coast. The Chinese came before Columbus to the West Coast. They too intermarried with the Indians. And lets not forget the Eskimos. Following the "all our ancestors came from some where else" argument: all countries are "lands of immigrants" because all homo sapiens can trace there ancestory back to Africa. One final note on the subject of "natives" to the U.S, what about the Polynesians in Hawaii?

American industry sold out a long time ago. As soon as they discovered they could get cheaper labor overseas. Everything it seems is made in Indonesia, China, Japan, and Mexico. I guess it's because us Americans seem to think we are superior to the rest of the world in our ability to mass produce. When the labor unions started to hold manufacturers hostage to the 25 dollar an hour windshield installer, that marked the begining of the end. Perhaps if the labor unions had limited their demands to better working conditions, things would have worked out. A business can easily depreciate capital improvements to their facilities, which would improve conditions. It is very difficult to write off the higher cost of labor, you have to go where the labor is cheaper. The future of American workers will be in retail, government and service industries. The manufacturing jobs won't be around much longer. so aAmericans pick up your feather dusters and march on Washington.......

Unfortunately, many other countries do not have an enforced minimum wage; or any agencies to guarantee fair pay for their work. Because of that, many companies outsource their work to other countries for cheap labor. Even companies that are American owned and based have labor forces in other nations; commonly third world.

Well I work for a company that makes products "right here in the good ole USA".....but beside us......not too many

So funny though.....I answered a question not too long ago about.....job description.

One guy answered (and he was very nice by the way) BUYER for a chinese textile company in Mexico.

You know I had to ask.....how....how......all he said was "great workers, comfortable surroundings". I left it alone.

Wasn't that crazy......I got off track though......! I sent my daughter to check. We have two things that said made in the US and one was the eggs in the Frig.

Peace
