We just started the relationship and he moved to another state not far from me. I was only able to say goodbye over the phone. I know he wants to be committed but i cant get over the fact of how soon he had to leave.

Long distance relationships arnt easy. Mostly there needs to be a lot of trust between you cos you wont get to spend any where near as much time together as 'normal' couples do. I spent 3 years in a long distance relationship and my advice is to keep in touch with each other as much as you can. Try to talk every day or at least every second day. Long distance is hard...but they can work

COMMUNICATION. Keep in touch, talk at least every couple of days, and talk about all the little things, and make sure you keep them important in your life. Its hard, but I believe it can be done
