I avoid them whenever possible...to the point where I will dangerously dehydrate myself so I dont have to use one, or drive to the nearest clean bathroom I know of. They have those trailer bathrooms now, that are like regular bathrooms in that they flush and have a sink and stuff. Those are much better but still icky.

Usually yes! However I have come across shockingly clean extra large ones in SOMERVILLE,MA I don't know if they are still clean after all those buget cuts, but a couple of Summers ago I used to see them completely scrubbed out twice daily. They were even deodorized and fully stocked with soft toilet paper, seat covers, and alchohol gel to clean your hands . After my first reluctant emergency visit I happily returned for many more.

They are the most disgusting things - somebody should come up with a better way. If they can flush a toilet on a plane, moving train, boat, and in space, why the hell are we still using hot, stinky, dirty, filthy porta potties anyway?

Yes, I have never used one in my life because I can't stand the stench when I'm 10 feet from it, let alone inside of it. If I have to go and there are no public bathrooms, I hold it, or beg my mom to take me to a restroom.

One day I was driving up I75 in GA and I was stuck behind a Port-O-Potty tractor trailer and boxed in, and it was about 105 outside and I could not escape, it was the nastiest thing ever!!!!!!!! I would never use one!

hahahahahahah, how does this go under food and drinks? LOL, well, go before u leave home...and dont drink pop of coffe a lot. so u dont have to go as much, or go and use a tree. oh and watch out for the poison ivy when you whipe.

Go to the bathroom before going out, or slip intoa nearby store and run into the bathroom. Or hold it.

yes. never go into one of those, even if you can't smell. germs through the roof. For advice, never go into one if you have a silly friend nearby, unless you want to be in a sticky situation.

its just smellie crapp like what comes from your butt and mine, i do go but i sort of hold my breath when its too hot ,but you are holding your breath and you are peeing and holding then you nearly-n-loose your next breath and you in hale all the stench that comes from the pooty .whew love that smell, inhale ,exhale in hale .what goes in must come out. just a little do-do.
