ESPECIALLY if there are women living in the house?

Well, the toilet was made with a seat, so, yes, put it down for it to be "properly made" like a bed. If there are females using it, then it's a courtesy, yes, but the seat is used more often than not with BOTH males & females - we all have to sit for #2!!

YES!
I HATE going to the bathroom at my friend's house for that reason!
The thing is the only woman in that house is his mom, and they still don't put the seat down! I have never said anything to him, but I'm sure his mom has lol
I do agree though, it IS proper manners to leave the toilet seat down!

That's the way my parents raised my brothers. And the way we raised our sons. It is definitely proper manners to put the seat down when you're finished.

yes, it's disrespectful to females when males leave it up especially if there are women in the house

A. if everybody would close the lid on the toilet, everyone would have to open it.

B. You can sit on a wet, yellow toilet sit...

C. If you don't like it, get seprate toilets...

I think its plan rude if they leave it up...! who the h*ll wants to fall into a bowl of water! and no I don't always check to see if it down. You shouldn't have to!

YES it is, even if your brothers, dad, or friends don't do it! ESPECIALLY if there's a woman in the house.
