Listen to your favorite music and a variety.. run through trails or around new streets in town that you've never been down and discover something new, or try rollerblading if you are just trying to find some exericse, its a nice alternative and burns alot of calories..

I heard a good idea that I have yet put into play...because I HATE running to but make myself do it for the exercise.

Get a language tape...that way you can learn a new langauge while your running and perhaps forget that your doing something you don't like. Then you get two birds...one the good exercise two you can learn a new language!!

Go to a park and run. What I do to make it challenging is I pick a location to run to and I run to it. I don't know how far it is so I don't worry about distance and take a friend with you.

i did this running electives for spring session. i hated running before that. but when it was 3 people running with you... its not bad. just get a friend or small group together to run. also go different routes and stuff. for my elective we ran through orchards, farms, the city, the college campus. running isnt a ball any way... but people and different souroundings makes it better.

download the rocky theme song and put it on a mp3. now thats some good inspiration or download other songs you would enjoy running to.

hit a gym with a TV in it...You will forget your are working out when you are involved in a show...Switch back and forth between running and walking to get used to keeping pace.

if you have an ipod or an mp3 player, take it with you.

also i like to do something stupid like make up a song to the beat of my steps or count all the white cars i see. its lame but it keeps you occupied!
