Ladies do you play hard to get when a guy is after you and does it actually work? (READ DETAILS)?

I mean when I date a girl who tries to play hard to get, it has always been such a massive turn off. Not because it's taking me longer to get anywhere but because she is so obviously being fake, and trying to be manipulative that it just gives me the impression that she is uncomfortable with her self and wouldn’t dare to act natural. I read in my sisters magazine "10 ways to keep a guy interested" and just thought if a girl tried one of these I would dump the B*tch. Simply because NO ONE in their right minds appreciates being played with.

I think a real relationship doesn't require any games. People (men or woman) who think they have to play games or manipulate to get a bf/gf are not ready for a serious committment.

P.S. i read that same article in Cosmo and I thought it was total BS.

Question 1 - No, her allowing you to be around her child is not an indication of her looking into the future with you. Question 2 - There are many people who have friends of the opposite sex but the fact that these two once had a romantic relationship and the fact that she is defensive of this "friendship" is a red flag that there is a higher than normal chance that they will fall back into a physical relationship. I feel the need to add that when a person uses the "if something was going to happen it would have already" this is a HUGE indicator that the person would allow a physical relationship to develop if the circumstances were right. Question 3 - The fact that she is less than respectful to you at work is just one more of many red flags that your relationship with her is very one sided. This is not normal behavior for two people who are dating and also work together. My overall impression is that she is not emotionally ready for any relationship and may never be. She uses her past bad relationships to justify her behavior rather than to take responsibility for her choices in allowing those bad relationships to develop. My guess is that she wants a relationship with this other "friend" but she has not been able to make that happen and you area filler until she see's if there is ever going to be a chance with this other man. I would also bet that she had not learned anything from her past bad relationships and will continue to make poor choices in her relationships. You don't need that kind of drama from a woman who is 38 years old.

well ... to me playing hard to get is for certain people like you said its a turn off for you but for some others its a turn on major turn on .... i only play hard to get with men that think they can pull any woman on earth that they want ... its not that women in general try to be some one their not some women don't know how to play hard to get !

I don't ever try to play hard to get. I just see it as a manipulative tease. And it proves she's just posing, so How do you know who she really is if she's playing this game?
