It looks like a Japanese letter or something. (I'm not talking about the Sceaming Eagle patch on the shoulder)

It's the 187th Paratrooper patch...a leftover from the Pacific War in WW2.

Airborne patch is worn on left shoulder and it is going to be basically worn by utilising qualified Airborne infantrymen. Patches on suitable shoulder are reserved for units you have been with in try against.

It's not a patch it connects the night vision goggles to the helmet.

It looks like a pagoda but if you look even closer it looks like two scimitars mirror imaged. Could be a special unit patch but i'm unsure on that.

he is a rakkasan i think that is how they spell it it is some Japanese thing. its a symbol for 187 inf from ft Campbell
