have we forgot that it wasnt really all that long ago that we were at war with mexico? and we are now in a since at war except this time instead of weapons they are using our own judicial system against us this isnt fair to the tax payers and is helping to drain our economy. No other country in the world would tolerate this type of invasion for one minute. So why should american citizens have to bear the burden?

Thank you! Someone who finally realizes that in any other time in history this illegal "immigration" has been called an invasion.

Well the Mexican war was in 1846 so 160 years is actually quite a long time ago. That war was fought over the boarder and technically, we stole like half of their land which is now the mid-west and the west coast. Closing the boarders isn't as easy as it sounds. I mean, it's true, no other country would put up with that, but that's what makes America so amazing, we are unlike any other country. Something has to be done, there is no question about that. But what the illegal immigrants are really doing is just trying to make a better life for themselves and their families. There is no justification but, if you were in their shoes, what would you do?

Mexico gave grants for lands they had unsuccessfully TRIED to settle but couldn't. They also made promises that were not kept---schools, a decent judicial system, and so on and so on. When Santa Anna made himself dictator, other areas of Mexico beside Texas revolted (even after Texas gained independence, Yucatan attempted to become free). Texas was not stolen from anyone. The people who lived there overthrew a dictator that the rest of Mexico was unable or unwilling to topple and set up a real government---one that could and did protect its citizens.
As for the Mexican Cession, how was that area Mexico's? Simply because Mexico was the successor to Spain's CLAIM. (I could claim the whole world, but that doesn't mean everyone else will recognize it. By the way, you all need to start paying me rent!)
That land would have just remained as it had been for ages until Russia or Britain decided to extend their claims. The U. S. was in a position to take it for reparations for the Mexican War, so it did.
Had Texans seen into the future to what a puss*fied socialist dictatorship the United States would one day become, it'd have remained independent and expanded on its own. The United States government no longer seems to recognize the sovereignty of its own people. Washington's elite wants us to ignore the usurpation of our rights and so by bringing in millions of people who don't know what rights they have all our rights and power as free men and women are diminished. Notice that Congress has done nothing to undo the damage done by the U. S. Supreme Court in declaring that private property can be confiscated by the dictatorship anytime a richer individual alleges he can make better use of the land. That same court just ruled that the police can just burst into your home without warning and without identifying themselves if you are even suspected of a crime. (That sounds like something stormtroopers do, not police. So what will they do to some innocent when cops stormtroop the wrong house and the owner, thinking they are burglers shoots some of them?)
Welcome to the New World Order!

Mexico didn't give us anything we won the war in 1848, and with winning the war we signed the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, and we paid 15 million for the land which was a huge amount of money back then, we could have taken Mexico but we let them keep it, and look what they have done with all their natural resources, absolutely nothing, in all this time look what America has accomplished, and look what Mexico has accomplished nothing but their people running from poverty. WE should have taken Mexico back then, a least they would have a better government and educated people now. I remember the Alamo it took 2000 Mexicans to beat 250 white men.

I'm opening a can of flame worms, but we could always declare war on Mexico, and treat the illegals as spies. The penalty for being a spy is rather abrupt. And the cost of a bullet is much less than the cost of a busride out of the country.

It was actually the Texans and not the Americans who fought Mexico. But yes the Texans have forgotten the Alamo.

we shouldn't!! We should put up a wall, and make people come here legally. It isn't fair to people who have waited years and years to come here legally. Our own citizens cant get health insurance, but people who are not citizens get it handed to them. Is that fair? No. I understand that people come to this country to make a better life for themselves. But do it the right way.

The American citizens bear the burden so that business can have cheap labor.

It's not about us citizens all it's all about capitalist greed.

Yea I'm with you go out to your local Mexican neighborhood, and yell "I hate illegal Mexicans go back to Mexico." You can probably find them in the park playing soccer. I'm with you yell that right in their face.
