Because if God is more powerful than Satan/Evil then how come he just didn't make sure he didn't get into the garden of eden? And how come he gave us the choice to sin or not? That would of saved a whole bunch of time and pain and suffering for his son Jesus, wouldn't you think? I know he wanted us to think for ourselves but if God made everything then he must have made the things that are considered sins right? So are we all vicitms of entrapment?

No Eve had a choice to be good or bad and she chose to be bad. God gave that same choice to the angles and Satan choose his path. And no we aren't being entrapped into sin. We have a choice to accept God's sovereignty over us if we don't we die if we do we are rewarded with everlasting life. I don't believe in hell b/c the bible says the price sin pays is death not everlasting torment in a fiery pit of dispare. By not following God's rules Eve made a conscious choice to disobey God believing that God was actually withholding something important from her. She got what she deserved and while we suffer for it if we do the right thing and follow God's rules we, once again, will be rewarded.

I don't know why the satan was allowed into the garden of Eden but I do know that Eve was moved to sin by the lust of her flesh, eye and the pride of life..... We were made in the image of God that is why we have free will.... Jesus came to redeem us from the hand of the enemy and give us life more abundantly here and eternal life once we leave here and he did a splendid job! Sin is plain and simple disobedience of God's word. No we (Christians) are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus. We are not victims.

I think you're right if you're just going by the Bible, but if you look at other gospels and other religions you will find better explanations for they way things are. You will never find all the answers though; you have to leave some things to faith out of necessity. If you think of it this way, you cant have the good with out the bad, because without one you don't know the other. I think we have free will, because we were supposed to use it, I don't believe "God" gave us a brain so we can ignore it, it doesn't make sense to do so. Peace be with you.

God did not create sin, just the option to chose. Creating the option to chose right or wrong does not make God the author of sin. No entrapment here.

One of my favorite bumper stickers: Eve Was Framed!

I made it into a T-Shirt in a T-Shirt making class in high school, with the words onthe back and a bitten apple in a frame on the front. I still have it, even though it's a bit worn now.

God wants us to love him of our own volition. It's no good if someone loves you just because you make them. Eve was not trapped, but knew she was disobeying God. She was tricked by the serpent, but it was not entrapment on God's part. She still knew it was wrong.

had God not given us a choice then we would all be mindless robots- that is not what He wants- just like we love our children and want them to obey us out of love not out of mindless obedience or fear. Is it entrapment to have astove in the house and tell your child not to touch it? no the stove is necessary, it is there for good purposes but if used inappropriately it can be harmful- so I tell my kids not to touch it - to protect them. If they touch it, then comes the natural consequences- if they dont, the blessings of obedience follow !

God is all knowing. all is predestined.
All that we do, was ordained by God.
All that we do, right or wrong, is His will, not our will. Just like characters in a novel. We are living a novel that God wrote. IN a novel, the characters have no free will; only the author has Will.
God is our author, and we are just characters, in his book, following His will.

Eve knew the rules and the consequences of her action. There is no such thing as entrapment.
