*Cutie: That was Noah, hon. Close, though.
*In this case, it's hard to say. All three major monotheistic religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) claim that Moses existed. There are very few traces of evidence that Moses existed, if any. However, does that mean that he did not exist?
For all we know, there could be someone alive TODAY that holds no records of existance. Does that mean that this person doesn't exist? Will it mean that to the next generation, when we're all dead and rotting?
It's hard to say. I believe so, but I don't plan to fight over it.

It is not important whether or not the characters out of our mythologies ever existed. The importance is found in the lessons we learn from their stories. Sometimes these lessons and characters overlap in several different mythological sources (the bible and the quran are good examples of two different "spiritual" sources which share many characters and stories yet draw many different conclusions from them). It can not be proven one way or the other whether Moses ever really existed or not. This is where faith comes in. What you choose to believe is, ultimately, your own decision.

Moses exists and what I mean is that God is God of the living not the dead(1). The prove is from the Bible, and that is often used by historians even though they don't aways adment it. :)
(1) Mark 12:26-27: 26 But concerning the dead, that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the burning bush passage, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?[c] 27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly mistaken.”

Did George Washington exist? Did dinosaurs walk the Earth? Did the Earth develop by a big bang or did God create it? You weren't around either time ... what do you think? Just because you weren't there doesn't believe the stories behind the above are either true or false.

He probably did exist, but like more recent heros, a lot of the stories about him are probably stretched to the limit. In a much shorter time we have King Alfred burning cakes, there's no evidence. Abraham Lincoln overcharging a lady a penny, so he walked ten miles to return it. No evidence to support the story. Geo. Washington chopping the cherry tree. Probably never happened.
So you can see that in relatively recent times legends pop up that probably never happened.

Yes. If you believe that the bible exists, then he did, because he wrote the first few books, including Genesis.
