This is why I say the average person misinterprets the Bible. Lookit, lusting after someone and thinking they're hot is two different things. People keep mentioning how "If you look at someone it's the same as committing adultry!" or "If you hate someone, you're committing murder!" Well, You're wrong, and you want to be wrong which contaminates your entire philosophy. Observe.
If you Lust after a woman, you want to have sex with her out of wedlock. It is to say that you WANT to commit a sin, and if you thought you would be successful, you would. Therefore, WANTING TO COMMIT A SIN IS THE SAME AS SINNING!
If you think she's hot, You think she's hot. You don't nessessairily intend to ever follow up on the attraction. You may feel that based on their smell or appearance, sex with them might be nice, you might even think about what it might be like, BUT YOU DO NOT WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH THEM OUT OF WEDLOCK! You're either willing to wait or do without completely. This is no sin. Get it?

The bible says LITERALLY that lust is a sin. Your reasoning is very good... It is ok to appreciate someone for their body, but not to follow up on it.

Well the Bible is clear on these two matters Let's look at what Jesus said at the sermon on the Mount.
Mt 5:21 "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.'
22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca, 'is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.
Those who hate are guilty for the same crime as murder and is a sin. The same as looking lustfully at a women.
Mt 5:27-28 "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Not to say looking at a women is wrong and acknowledging her beauty but it must stop there and NO unholy thoughts are to arise from that point on that goes for thinking ANYTHING sexual.
1Thess. 4:1-8
(1) Finally, then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to live and to please God, just as you are doing, that you do so more and more.
(2) For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
(3) For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;
(4) that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,
(5) not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;
(6) that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you.
(7) For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness.
(8) Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.
If we have done these things we are guilty of sinning against God which seperates us from Him (Isa. 59:1-2) The key is to be brought back to God the way He tells us to and not the way men say. Are you trying to convince yourself?
Anyway, you said this:
"If you Lust after a woman, you want to have sex with her out of wedlock."
So you think there always has to be a wedlock? There are unmarried people you know?

Your body is WHAT you are IN, not WHO you are....
Hence, the idea that if you THINK it, it's a sin... since you are a spirit being in a human body.
Thoughts are creative.
It is important to choose your thoughts positively.
You reflect what you imagine.
Female is not WHO she is, it is WHAT she is..... and vise versa.
Ask yourself "what would Love do now?" and be the best version of that you can be....

Forget about it being a sin, it is simply degrading!!! I will never understand why some men see women as merely objects instead of human beings like them.

I thought this was only a sin if she was married, ie "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife". This is of course arbitrary and it is human to look, and moral to not do anything about it.
