Hi Earthangel, You are referring I assume to Isaiah 14. If you read vs. 4 you will see that God is telling his prophet to bring a proverb to the king of Babylon, which was Nebuchadnezzar at the time. If you look closely at this you will see that this is a warning delivered to the king that God is going to crush him and has nothing to do with Satan. Only a few bibles even use the term Lucifer so you are probably reading from the KJV. This was a poor Latin translation and should actually read the bright morning star which was Venus. Lucifer does not exist as you speak, Satan does. This has been misread by the churches for years.

Not if you ARE God. Lucifer did not try to become God. He was prideful and thought of himself as something special and superior to the beings God created....man. Lucifer refused to serve mankind, and thought he deserved worship for being so beautiful.

It's a sin for anyone but God to be God.
In a way I feel sorry for Lucifer, can't really blame him for not wanting to bow down to us. We're pretty pathetic. Regardless, when God tells you to do something, guess you'd better not argue about and just do it.

There's no such thing as lucifer, satan, the devil, demons etc etc. These concepts are strictly human constructs created by early humanity to explain away such events as famine, disease, death, pestilence and natural disasters, until science evolved enough to clarify these occurences.

It is a sin to pursue that which belongs only to the Most High - worship. Satan wanted to be worshiped. That is a no-no.

It was his pride that was a sin. I don't believe God is prideful. I think He works in harmony with us all.

Well it depends on how you look at it. If you are a christian then it is obviously. But if you are Muslim then they say that you are a god so it depends on what your religion is.
