My husband did 7 years in the Marine Corps and then he got out. He loved the Marine Corps and still does, the Marines gave him discipline and experience to excell in his next job - California Highway Patrol. He loves that job now too. My only advice is my husband wanted to get out after 4 years but didn't have anything lined up as far as a job, so he stayed in and did another 3. I have seen it all too many times where a Marine gets out hoping to get a job here or there and it doesn't work out and then uh oh!! No job no money. Make sure you know what you want to do if you do choose to get out. Also, if you have people that are willing to help you out than it shouldn't be a hard transition for you either.

nicely first of all you shouldnt have acted like a youngster once you entered the corp. Did you get a RE code, I dont imagine you'd be able to come again in, because of your "lower than honorable discharge", shall we only say the protection pressure can no longer re-enlist someone who has questionable moral behaviour at the same time as in the corp. It doesnt harm to attempt to re-enlist. yet you could nicely be dissatisfied because the protection pressure is presently downsizing and is way less in all probability to recruit priors, criminal archives, dqable wellbeing situations. they choose those with clean slates, no criminal archives.

Can you ever really leave the Corps? Either way.... it's cool... you had your experience... you served. I think it's funny that most people that are saying NO are people who probably never served anything bigger than themselves. I don't remember seeing any of them here in Iraq. At home I didn't see any of them voluteering at the homeless shelter, I didn't see them volunteering at their kids school, I didn't see them in the Jaycees, I didn't see them in the Masonic Lodge, etc....

No. Unless your gung-ho. Come back to the real world, it is better to be a civilian, than in the military. I havent saluted anybody since i left the military, everybody is the same rank out here.

WHATS the best reason why you would not want to re-up? compare that with why you would want to stay. ive noticed that marines are generally respected in the business world.

THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT ONLY THINK OF FINANCIAL WEALTH AND POWER. ENTERING THE U.S. ARMED FORCES FOR THE EXPERIENCE IS ONE THING. TO SUBJECT YOURSELF TO ANOTHER FOUR YEARS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL TORMENT IS ANOTHER. LOVE YOURSELF FIRST, AS WELL AS, THOSE WHO HAVE SUPPORTED YOU THROUGHOUT. THE BATTLE IS HERE IN THE USA.
