That's a tough question to answer. Whose life were you referrring to? Mine, or the dogs'? Or did you possibly mean everyone's life? In that case it would be very difficult to determine. Let's start by looking at the number of people in the world minus the average dog ownership of each continent. I believer North America has the highest per capita dog ownership population. Wait, no actually I think it's probably China. They even eat em over there. Which is gross but if it's that or starve to death, i guess I'dd eat a dog too. Not my neighbor's dog, Grendal. That thing would eat me. He's huge! He reminds me of that time when I was a kid and stepped on a nail. Man it hurt so bad!

wait.......what was I talking about?

As long as you can provide them a great life with love, there could never be enough. They deserve just as much love as any human. They give us love that is unrestrained. They do not care if we are a nerd, preppy, ugly, overweight, etc. they love us period. We as a humans can not do enough to show our love to them. For those who harm, hurt, abuse, starve animals, pray you never cross my path.
