Oh wow, your son is in Mrs. Hosford's class. That is amazing that you would think someone would actually recognize that name. Maybe you should spend some time with your son and help him study. Did you ever think about talking to the famous Mrs. Hosford? I'm sure since she is known all over the world, she will know what to do. Just be a real father and help your son.

Contact Mrs. Hosford and see if there is a problem, such as your son not paying attention, not understanding the material, etc.
If he is not understanding the material, I would suggest a tutor or asking the teacher for extra help. Also, keep the lines of communication open with the teacher so you can keep track of your son's progress; hopefully that will motivate him to work even harder in the class.

Study together make it a "fun time" Study one subject at a time after each subject take him out for a treat or do something fun for a little then come right back to work. Make sure you give him the treat ONLY when you feel he knows the subject well. Ask him to give you ALL of the papers from his backpack and check it. there could be a homework calendar that he didnt give you. and when you feel hes lying sometimes tell him "Are you lying to me? and if he says no say it again then say "One more chance if you dont tell me the truth then your going to be in trouble if you tell me the truth i will let you go" Take your son on the right road. Volunteer at the school and help out with homework so that he doesnt throw them away at school without your knoledge. hope this helped!!

Instead of being on the Internet asking a stupid question, why dont you be a REAL parent and spend some time with your son helping him with ihs homework.

Here, do this, Ctrl-Alt-Del, 3 times.

Send her an email and discuss your concerns. She'll make suggestiona or will suggest you meet. Teachers prefer email, which they can read at less hectic times, and appreciate respectful, well-written parent inquiries.
