What are some funny ways to answer the phone when a pranks telemarketer calls?

Ask them where they're from and then say "Oh really? My family and I want to go on vacation there. Where would you recommend we stay? What's the best burger joint around there? How far is the best mall from the hotel we'll be staying at?" You can go on and on. Eventually they'll get irritated and hang up.

I do answer the phone speaking another language (Portuguese) I just pretend I was waiting for that call and start my gibberish, they hang up in a couple of seconds.,

Let them go through their thing. Act very interested. Ask lots of questions... get ready to order. And say, this is a great deal! Most companies don't want to sell to someone going through a bankruptcy.

if they ask you how you are, start dramatically telling then all these things that are going on in your life and make up a whole bunch of crap and be like "thank you so much for asking! i have cancer and i'm not going to last long...the treatment isn't working and my daughter is only 14 and her boyfriend is 20 and she wants to move in with him. do u have kids? any advice? and my wife is going through menopause..."etc etc it's hilarious

I've been waiting for your call all day!! I'm just so lonely out here..my family is too cheap to put me in a nursing home, so they stuck me out here in the out-house. Oh well, at least I'm closer to home! Speaking of, how is your family doing? Is that uncle Otis hanging in there? *background noise* Oh no!! Not another one............FRANK!! I keep telling them to take the barbed-wire fence down. So, back to Otis........

When you are really annoyed and don't want to talk to them......just them them.............Ohhhhhhhh I really want to talk to you but just hold on a sec, I have my Mom on the other line, just let me say goodbye. Put them on hold and leave them there. They will get the idea after a while that you are not going to come back LOL

Say you haven't got time to talk at the moment but if they give you their number, you'll call them back.
When they say no, say -
"oh? don't you like strange people calling you at home? well neither do i...."
Hang up.
