To be honest, some girls use "buddy" as a subtle way of saying "I'm not interested", but some girls also use it accidentally and then feel stupid later because they really like the guy and didn't mean to push him away. I know I've done both and I my friends too.
So I think you've still got a chance!
You need to evaluate her feelings for you on more than just one action. Good luck!

That's friendship terminology for sure. Keep it to that - a good friendship is worth a lot, and you'd be wise not to blow it with romantic advances.
As to your additional comments, I can see that it hurts. But things are what they are, dude. You've got a consensus here with all of your answerers that she's just a friend. That's something - and is better than not having a friend. But you'll have to come to accept the situation as it is, not as you'd prefer it to be.

At this point, I would say that she is a good friend. Even if she has "those feelings" for you, she is being respectful of you as a person. That is a good relationship. Not everything has to lead to romance. Even if you would like it to, just accept her at the level that she wants it to be. Some of the best relationships in life are our friends!!

hard to tell.. depends on girl. buddy could be a flirt .. whatcha think buddy.. i dont know women who want you as friend that use the word buddy. she would just say friend... buddy is cutsey for a girl to use.. so you might have a chance.. unless she says this is my buddy... or i would like you to meet my buddy. but that doesnt sound right either.

She sees you... as a buddy. Nothing more. Not a f*** buddy, but as a buddy. Buddy is just a cutesy way of saying friend, not so subtly hinting that she doesn't see you romantically. At all. Just my opinion.

She most likely views you as a friend, not a potential boyfriend. Girls are like that.

You are in the "friend zone" my man. Good luck getting out of that one! Your chance of ever dating that chick relies on her being drunk!!!!!
