i know, i was talking to my friends who have the true faith and religion and we were commenting on how much our catholic friend spends defending instead of practing being catholic.
'
All day she spends defending...we feel embarrasssed for her. Sometimes when she is about to practice her religion the phone rings and .......here we go again she is defending her religion.
won time she about to practice her religion and give some money to a homeless guy, and the homelsess guy made her defend her religion before he recieved charity for the least among us.
i don't know how my catholic freind finds any time to practice, with all the defending they do..........
Great question.

In recent years the Catholic Church has come under a lot of criticism because of priests molesting children, and other issues. The Catholic Church is one of the oldest religious groups, so they have a lot of history and a lot of baggage. Most Catholics I know are very dedicated and devout and just trying to get along, like the rest of us.

Why do Christians seem to spend more time defending their religions than following the true teachings of Jesus?

Now, look at that! Answering questions like yours, I suppose. One thing I've noticed is that certain other religions are constantly on the prod and more than anxious to condemn others to eternal hellfire. Many Catholics are secure in their faith and wouldn't bother to reply . At any rate, I'm not Catholic..and it's Catholicism.

Because that faith puts them in a comfort zone. They don't want to change even if they know they are wrong. I know I used to be catholic for 32 years until JESUS called me out of the darkness and into his marvelous light.

What a smug, arrogant and uninformed question! If it were true, maybe it would be because of totally airhead assumptions like this!

I don't think that your statement is true. As catholics, we have to fully understand our religion and prove those wrong who blasphemies it.
