It is a cope out Christians use when faced with any "unChristian" act someone has committed in the name of Christianity.

Real Christians
One of the most frustrating aspects of conversing with Christians has to do with the definition of the term Christian itself. It's easy for anyone to point the finger at the history of Christianity and show its atrocities…the Crusades, the Inquisition, the Nazis… But it is equally easy for someone else to say, "They weren't True Christians."
Now just what do you say to that? (If you're smart, you say nothing and walk away. But I'm not always smart.)
It seems that every Christian has their own definition of what it means to be a Christian. Silly me, I always thought a Christian was one who worshipped Jesus Christ as his/her savior. But to listen to some people, there's far more to it than that. Now, they can't come to an agreement on what those things might be, but they all insist that anyone who doesn't fit their special little definition isn't a Christian. The bible itself isn't clear on the subject, either. But then, the bible is full of contradictory passages, so this should be no surprise.
Some examples of the modern Christian's perspectives... I know of no Christian who accepts that Hitler and the Nazis could possibly have been Christian, despite Hitler's many speeches and writings, despite his words to friends, and despite the vocal beliefs of many of his followers. Similarly, groups like the KKK "aren't Christian," either, even though they constantly refer to Jesus. Catholics? No, they're not True Christians, according to many Protestants. And vice versa.
I've been told that the behaviors of some "supposed" Christians aren't in keeping with the Scriptures, which teach forgiveness, love, and kindness, blah blah blah…
Well, the thing is, some biblical writings do teach such behavior. However, the "good book" is also full of actual examples of the opposite, and from "godly" men, too. Overall, it's a situation of "do as I say, not as I do." And we all know how well that works.
If one were to approach someone described as not being a "real" Christian, they'd insist that they are as "real" as they come. And in their minds, they probably are. So what point is really made by saying they aren't? It's simply a way to dismiss them, to write them off as being pretenders. But that doesn't change the fact that they are, whether one likes it or not, a representative of their professed beliefs. They may not be representative of the best aspects of said belief, but few people are, no matter the beliefs.
To my way of thinking, if you call yourself a Christian, and believe yourself to be a Christian, then it doesn't matter a bit if others think you're Christian or not. It's just a situation of some Christians not wanting to accept that Christians can be scum, just like anyone else.

**A True Christian follows the Bible completely by living by ever word (Luke 4:4); this is God's Will.
**Also they follow Jesus's Example (Col.2:6; 1Peter2:21)& the Apostles (Eph.2:20).
**Also they keep the 10 Commandments; especially the Sabbath Day Saturday (Exodus 20:1-17; Luke 4:14; Rev.14:7,12).
**A true christian won't kill because that would be breaking one of the 10 Commandments.
**A true christian will go to church; if they can't they can worship at home.
**A true christian helps, cares, is kind always and respects people's beliefs; never forcing people to do their religion.
**A true christian will read their Bible every day; so God can guide them; also will pray each day.
**A true christian will know both sides of christianity--the good and the evil(Heb.5:14).
**A true christian will keep the feast days(Lev.23) too.
**A true christian won't fight against Jesus Christ teachings; by saying this or that is done away with.
**A true christian will not harm their body with too much wine, eating unclean meats, fornication, smoking, etc.
**True christians will prove everything in the Bible by scripture, magazines, encyclopedias, dictionaries and any other information that confirms the word in the Bible.
Mostly if you live by the Word Of God(The Bible) and ask for wisdom; God will tell you what's right and what's wrong if you pray and read your bible each day.

A "true" Christian is someone who has chosen to accept God's gift of forgiveness and grace. Meaning they believe Jesus was God's son who came and died for our sins, because we all have our screw-ups and are not perfect enough to make it to heaven on our own. We belive that through Jesus sacrifice, a sentence has been paid for our crimes. And if we accept that, then we can have a relationship with God.
A "true" Christian has made that choice to have a relationship with God. A "true" Christian doesn't have to go to church. You don't have to go to a football game to be a fan of that team, but you sure cheer a lot louder for that team when you're there. That's what church is for Christians, a place to cheer louder for God, but those cheers are supposed to carry through the week, and not just for an hour (or 3 if you are in the bible belt) every weekend.

I agree with Eggman...there was no "true" or "perfect" Christian except Jesus. Every single teaching in the Christian faith is directing us to become more like Jesus. Christ came to Earth to show us how us humans were meant to be. The reason Jesus was the perfect role model and the only *true Christian* was because he is God. (I'll get to that later.)
People so often forget the main theme of the Gospels: that God created us with so much more potential than we ever achieve: so much more good than we could ever comprehend: so much more power than we could ever grasp; so he gave us an example. Christ is the example of how God wanted us to live. That is why, being a "true Christian" is developing the spirit of Christ.
If you want to see what an example Christ was to people, read "All About Jesus" by Chip Ingram, or any one of the Gospels (read it from beginning to end). Plus, Josh McDowell's book "More Than a Carpenter" brings up the "Is Jesus God?" question...yes, he was a great teacher, but was he God? Another good one is written by Lee Strobel, "The Case for Christ" (which was going to be his book disproving Jesus!)

To begin with,
True Christians" are foot step followers of Christ.
They are identified by their actions,
they respect the Bible as the word of God,
they have genuine love for other people. John 13:35 says:By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves
So in answering the question "would a true Christian Kill another"
It would have to be "NO" . 1John 3:11,12 says:Â For this is the message which YOU have heard from [the] beginning, that we should have love for one another; Â not like Cain, who originated with the wicked one and slaughtered his brother. And for the sake of what did he slaughter him? Because his own works were wicked, but those of his brother [were] righteous.

A "True Christian" is some who is literally "Christ Like." That would imply first of all a belief in Jesus, not just as a man, but as the son of God. Many people claim to be Christians, yet often act very un Christian-like in their daily lives.

People use the phrase "true christian" ... I believe what they mean is that they absolutely believe in Jesus Christ and Holiness (the way of God). But to me, being a true Christian is studying your Bible, praying, fasting, loving your neighbor as yourself, not judging another, not being ashamed of your belief, following the way of God and Jesus (all that the Bible teaches us about living a saved and holy life), being a peace-keeper, praying for others, helping others as Jesus helps us, and following God's commandments. But, most importantly accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior ... all the rest will be added unto to you.
Sweetheart, you're pagan ... I don't know why you chose that lifestyle, maybe you were born into it. But, just look into seeking God for Truth ... I love you and hope that best for you in your life. You're young and I believe that everything will be just fine for you.

A "true Christian" is simply one who has COMPLETELY accepted Jesus as their savior and devoted his/her life to Him.
"True Christians" do NOT necessarily go to church regularly, but most do. As I said above, "true" Christianity isn't based on actions, but rather the decision to follow Jesus.
As for a "true" Christian killing another, I would say that a "true christian" would have no reason to kill (or want to kill) someone.

A "true Christian" is a person that is completely devoted to their beliefs and is the closet thing to Christ on this earth. Very, very, VERY few people qualify as this.
The person is fully concentrated in wisdom and the ideals of Christ. This person is in a state I like to call the "Good Trance Form," a state of pure wisdom and enlightenment.

A true Christian is anybody that God has drawn
to repentance and Faith in Jesus Christ his only
begotten Son.Salvation is a Gift from God it can
not be bought with money or worldly riches. We
could never work or change ourselves to please God.You have to hear the good news that God
has made a way for your sin to be forgiven and
for you to receive Eternal Life. The Gift is called
being Born of God or Born-Again.Jesus said that without this New Birth you will NEVER enter
Gods Kingdom.
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
How we are Born of God is by Believing Gods
Word!
even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Joh 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Please recieve Jesus by Faith he wants to
give you Eternal Life and power to live now in
victory over sin and self and the world .
All you have to do is pray and tell God you believe that his Son Jesus Christ died for me and he was Bodily resseructed from the dead
and I want to recieve Jesus as Lord. If you prayed that prayer find you a King James Bible
and start reading St.John then1,2,3 John.
If I can help my 360 blog has my e-mail and
I will help you as much as I can. To God be the
Glory.
In Christ in Love,
